These guys do some amazing work on saving endangered birds. In fact, they helped restore the peregrine falcon population and they were removed from the endangered species list in 1999. The botanical garden is a open year round and although it might be cold, it is beautiful! There are nature trails to walk and it is right next to the Old Idaho Penitentiary that you could tour if you were interested.
