Cassie and Brian both swiped right and met for sushi. During our first date Brian asked more questions about Cassie's cats than he did about her and gave her his rain jacket in a downpour. The thing that solidified our relationship for Cassie was her cat's obsession with Brian. He would call her and she would come running for the guy. Our first months of dating took place during his final semester of law school when he learned that he would be moving to Boise to start his career. In telling her of his plan to move he also asked if she would go with him. Cassie agreed and the rest of history.

Brian and Cassie were in Southern California for a family event and after it we had some beach time on Faria Beach (yes, that's the actual name of the beach). Cassie was looking put together and it was the evening when she assumed that we wouldn't have anything else she needed to look good for. She decided to go for a swim in the ocean with Brian's nieces and nephew. When she emerged from the ocean, looking like a rat, he pulled her over and dropped down to one knee and started giggling. He eventually got the words out and she said yes!
