By the 12th of August, 2022 Please do get in touch with your travel plans or if there are any concerns and we can discuss them! Should you decide a Glamping tent sounds like you then we will get in touch with further details for payment.
We understand that there is a significant financial burden for those coming from abroad therefore have subsidised the glamping tents to bring the cost down. Cost for 2 people for 2 nights is 3150 ZAR (175 EUR / 150 GBP / 280 AUD). An additional bed (for children) can be added for 300 ZAR (16 EUR / 14 GBP / 25 AUD) per night You are most welcome to find your own accomodation in Elgin if Glamping does not suit you. Alternatively if this is still too expensive please do get in touch and we can see what can be arranged.
The wedding ceremony and reception has a semi formal dress code. The rest of the weekend is entirely up to you - wear whatever makes you comfortable. You do not need to bring any towels or bedding as this is all included. To give you an indication the Cape Town climate in November is 15 - 25 degrees celcius. Weather dependant, but the festivities will be mostly outdoors with a bonfire both nights so bear that in mind when selecting your night attire (Elgin Valley can get chilly overnight). We would not recommend stilettos due to the outdoor feel of the wedding.
We will cater all meals and alcohol for the weekend with the exception of Saturday lunch. For this we can highly recommend the Peregrine Farm Stall or Elgin Railway Market nearby (both are fabulous). There is an onsite kitchen area with fridge and you are most welcome to bring anything which will make your stay more comfortable. If there is any particular frothy beverage you are accustomed to drinking then you may want to pack that too. Please advise on any dietary requirements in the event RSVP section.
Yes - of course! The glamping tents are only a short walk away from the evening's activities. The property is safe and they will absolutely love the animals! *Although not yet confirmed, we are looking into hiring a nanny to assist parents with their children for the weekend
We understand some of you overseas folk may have your doubts or concerns however we can assure you South Africa is a perfectly safe and wonderful place to visit. With some basic precautions, common sense and an open mind you're bound to have a great time!
Your presence is your present! Seriously though, please no gifts. If you are the type of person who insists on gifting we can recommend some fantastic local charities to help disadvantaged people. Alternatively we would recommend ecologi.com where you can give the gift of trees to reduce the carbon footprint of flying to our wedding.
The property is home to a herd of springbok, a zeal of zebras, a few blesbok and 3 cheeky ostriches - they may steal your bread but none will ruin your weekend. No need to worry about any furry friends in the night.
No WiFi onsite - if you're coming from overseas we would suggest buying a local sim card if this might be an issue
