Dia de Muertos, or Day of the Dead as it is known in the United States, may seem like an odd choice of date for a wedding. In reality it is a beautiful celebration of life! In Mexico it is a significant holiday, where it is believed that the border between the spirit world and the real world dissolves. During this brief period, the souls of the dead awaken and return to the living world to feast, drink, dance and play music with their loved ones. Ofrendas, or altars, are built to honor loved ones who have passed on. In short, it is the perfect time of year to truly celebrate with our living loved ones and those who are no longer in this realm.
Please feel free to bring a photo of your deceased loved one. Friends, family, even pet photos are welcome! All will be here to celebrate. Make sure it is a solo photo with no other members included in the picture.
An online RSVP through our website will suffice, but if you feel more comfortable mailing in your card, please do so with plenty of time. RSVP no later than September 1st, 2024 as vendors will need our final guest count well before the wedding day.
Yes! The ceremony, reception, and dance will all be held at The Main Room event center. This is an indoor venue located at 798 E. First Ave. El Paso, TX 79901.
There is metered parking directly in front of the venue and a free public parking lot about 1/2 block east of the venue. However we STRONGLY encourage everyone to Uber/Lyft to the venue, as we plan on drinking and making merry all night long!
Our ceremony will start promptly at 5pm. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before start time to allow time for traffic, parking, etc.
We are having an unplugged wedding ceremony. Please refrain from using your cell phones during this time. We have hired a professional to capture these moments for us. After the ceremony guests are welcome to take as many pictures as they like!
We are requesting a formal dress code, so please come dressed to the nines! We suggest that men wear a suit and tie and women wear a cocktail dress, nice pantsuit, or evening gown. Sparkle, sparkle!
Only the number of guests listed on your invitation are allowed. We thank you for your understanding!
The bride and groom respectfully request an adults only event. We hope you take this night off to cut loose, make merry, and feel the romance!
As we enter cold and flu season, please consider wearing a mask while traveling to El Paso, to better protect our elderly and immunocompromised guests.
Early November in El Paso should be pleasant and mild with sunshine and average temperatures in the 70s. Nights can be chilly but a light sweater should suffice. Please make sure to check for weather updates before you travel.
We will be serving steak tacos and tacos al pastor, which is pork. They will be gluten free and dairy free. Please alert the bride or groom of any dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Yes! The drinks are on us, the hangover is on you! There will also be plenty of non-alcoholic options to enjoy!
