I recommend looking into Air BnBs or Vrbo apps for places to stay. The venue is a bit far out and on the way to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, with no main roads and mainly windy roads. Most hotels in Escondido will be at least a 20–25-minute drive; so please plan ahead!
Also, driving to the venue: take SAN PASQUAL VALLEY ROAD AND NOT OLD MILKY WAY. This is a detour way there which is safer and with paved roads. Keep straight if you coming from 15-N bound and follow along Route 78.
