Halibut Point State Park
A quick but beautiful walking trail, Halibut Point is a nice outdoor space to explore and take in panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. It boasts a wide variety of wildlife, including songbirds, shorebirds, turtles, frogs, beavers, and other small mammals. On a clear day, the Isle of Shoals is visible, and while she hasn't been successful from this spot yet, Ashlyn is always on the lookout for whales!
Bearskin Neck
A quick train, bus, or car ride away, Bearskin Neck is a favorite spot of the couple and Ashlyn's family. There are dozens of local shops, restaurants, and of course, stunning views. Check out Roy Moore for fantastic seafood, and Tuck's for a sweet treat (or several) after!
Gloucester
Explore Gloucester! We are lucky enough to have a venue within walking distance to some awesome locations in this town. Right next door you can access whale watching tours, harbor tours, sailing tours, or simply walk alongside the sea. Head in the other direction to access beaches, Stage Fort Park, and spot the historic Fisherman's Memorial. Don't forget to check out the local restaurants and bars, and Turtle Alley is a fantastic sweet shop!
