We love La Jolla Cove! This is a great season to see the baby seals and sea lions. No guide necessary- just walk down to the cove! It is also a great season to swim with the leopard sharks (the most docile shark you will find). We highly recommend booking a kayaking or snorkeling excursion. Please be respectful of the wildlife and keep a large radius between you and our ocean buddies!
Balboa Park is our favorite place to go whenever we have free time. We highly recommend the Museum of Us. Balboa Park has several other museums, gardens, and the San Diego Zoo. It is a must-do (in our opinion) when in San Diego.
AKA our backyard! If you are feeling adventurous you can take a spin around PLNU to see where the couple went to college (go sea lions!). Otherwise, we recommend the cliffs for a sunset picnic. Grab a California burrito from La Perla on Rosecrans St. and arrive a bit early to find a good parking spot! The cliffs span a large area so park wherever you can because there is not a bad spot!
Attention all hikers! Torrey Pines is our favorite place for a hike. No matter which trail you choose, keep in mind that they all start with a really big hill. Once you make it up you can choose your way back down and walk back along the beach.
Come see Isaac's place of work! Cabrillo has a wonderful lighthouse, tide pools, and lots of history.
Looking for a night out? Gaslamp has endless options for nightlife and food.
PB has lots to offer. In the daytime, we recommend renting a surfboard or booking a lesson. In the evening, there are plenty of restaurants and bars to explore!
