We recommend flying into Florence. Florence is a quick hour drive to the venue which is located in Siena, You can also fly into Pisa which is a slightly longer drive. If you plan to tour Italy before or after our wedding you might consider flying into Rome as the flights can be more cost effective. Rome is about a 3 hours from the villa.
There are many ways to get to the villa and it ultimately depends on your preference. If you plan to tour Italy and are comfortable driving internationally, renting a car is fairly inexpensive. Car rentals start from $8 a day. The airport has free shuttles to the car rental offices and the drive to the villa is about an hour and fifteen minutes. There is a bus from Florence Airport that leaves to Siena every 10 minutes. The bus is about six euros and takes about two hours. Siena is about 15 minutes from the villa and we can arrange to have you picked up from the bus stop in Siena. Our travel agent Sue can help you book any of these options and additionally she can provide you information on private transfer or a group shuttle bus from the airport to the villa.
Check in is Friday, November 10th at 4pm. We'll update this soon with times for the welcome dinner and the wedding.
The Villa sleeps 89 people in private apartments that sleep between 2-6 people per apartment. You can book your room directly through the bride and groom. We will be sending out invites in early March and will be reaching out to share what room we reserved for you in the villa. If you prefer to stay off property, we will be able to recommend a hotel soon. If we run out of space at the villa, we will recommend a hotel block close to the villa.
You will need to provide your own transportation from the airport to either the villa or the Siena bus station. We will provide transportation from the Siena bus station in the event you’d like to take the bus.
If you rent a car, there’s plenty of space to park at the villa. Parking is free.
The weather is usually between 62 and 52 degrees this time of year.
The ceremony and reception are both at Villa Catignano.
The ceremony will start promptly at 2:15pm. Please arrive early to get seated.

There is a pizzeria about 5 minutes driving from the villa. Most other restaurants are in Siena which is a 15 to 25 minute drive away depending on traffic.
We will be hosting a dinner each night at the villa for all of our guests and breakfast each day for guests staying at the villa but if you wish to have lunch out you will need to drive. We will be putting some snacks and refreshments in each villa room. Every room has a kitchen or kitchenette and there is a grocery store called Coop.Fi 10 minutes away from the villa if you wish to have some extra food on hand.
