Many friends will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart. Rouxne and I met during our grade 10 year, little did we know that 9 years later she would be my Maid of Honor. We have always had quite a long-distance friendship, but this never got in our way. Our friendship traveled from Potchefstroom to Secunda and now I am blessed to have her nearby. We have shared so many godly principles and we have seen each other grow through so many seasons of life. I have witnessed her grow into an independent and goal-driven lady. She is the girl with the beautiful smile and kindest heart.

Where do I start... First of all, what an honor it is having my brother and best friend as my best man. We have such special memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I cannot thank my brother enough for all the time and effort he had put into me at a young age. He had always been my role model.

Anrie and I have always known each other but it was 3 years ago that we discovered how much we have in common. She has been my right hand and my shoulder to cry on. We have had endless conversations about what our dream day would be like. She helps me escape from my well-organised life now and then by making impulsive in the moment choices, that usually we both reconsider afterward. We value the same things in life and believe that once you can be free within a growing friendship - that friendship will last a lifetime.

One of the most beautiful qualities of our friendship is to understand and to be understood. My gravel road friend. We have made it through so much. We have faced the long roads with bumps and ditches and we have also witnessed the beauty of life, friendship and honesty together. The party starter! A friend that would force me to go out with her just so that I could taste her favourite drink. I have seen her grow from a young girl to a supermom! I went to a new High School and she was my 'arranged' friend. Little did we know that that was only the start of a friendship so sincere and raw.
