We met on a dating app called Hinge. After messaging back and forth for a while we decided to finally meet. With Toms work schedule and the distance between us, it had been difficult to plan a date. We were finally able to meet for a cup of coffee on Thanksgiving eve as Tom was heading upstate to be with family. After a great first date, Tom continued on his drive. We then spent the entire evening on the phone talking until he arrived. Honestly, I think gifting Tom with bacon jam is what sealed the deal!

We went upstate to spend a weekend with family. Tom had arranged a 9 mile hike for us to do together. It was the perfect day for it at Highland Forest Park. After we had completed the hike we sat in the grass, snacked and took in the valley below. As we were sitting in the grass Tom mentioned that there was a rock digging into his back the entire time, to which I replied, "you probably should have removed it at mile 1 and not mile 9." I turn to find Tom bent on one knee and, in all honesty, cannot remember what he said exactly but knew that this was the man I was going to marry.
