So the modern love story goes, we matched on Hinge after both having a sucky Valentine's Day. Although Maria was pretty dry at first, she soon warmed up after Roman's persistence. Once they really got to talking they realized how much they had in common and how much they were starting to like each other. Maria was finishing school at the time and Roman was states away on a 3 month work trip, but after some near misses, they finally coordinated a day to meet. One small problem though... Maria's dad wanted to meet Roman first. After all this was a stranger off the internet and he was worried Roman would turn out to be a 50 year old man. This, of course, alerted Roman's best friends who ALSO thought Maria could turn out to be a 50 year old man. Luckily for everyone both Roman and Maria were exactly who they said they were and because of that, we have this iconic first date photo taken by Maria's dad as he drove off. The first date was really good. The connection they felt messaging for the past couple months translated well in person. The date ended up being about 9 hours long as they talked and talked and talked about everything and nothing. Neither of them wanted to go home. Ever since then they have been inseparable, through the highs and lows of life and they intend to do so until the end of time <3
