We recommend that guests arrive by 5:30 PM to allow enough time to park and make their way to the ceremony location. The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00 PM.
No, our ceremony will be an unplugged event. We kindly ask that all guests turn off and put away their phones to be fully present with us in this special moment. This also ensures that our professional photographer can capture beautiful, uninterrupted shots of the day.
Yes! NC State University's commencement is on the same day (May 3, 2025). As NCSU is the largest university in North Carolina, we strongly advise booking your accommodations as early as possible to ensure availability and to anticipate potential traffic in the area.
Both the ceremony and reception will be held at the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, NC.
Yes, there are two free parking lots available for guests. The most convenient parking for the ceremony area is located behind the West Building, on the left after entering the museum drive. Additional parking can be found in the Blue Ridge lot, which is on the right after entering the museum drive. Please note that accessing the Blue Ridge lot requires more walking down a paved incline. All parking at the museum is free, and you won’t need to worry about navigating grass or gravel, as all paths and event spaces are paved.
We kindly invite you to dress in semi-formal or formal attire. Since May in North Carolina can be warm, we recommend choosing breathable fabrics and comfortable shoes. Both the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors, while the reception will be indoors. Breathable layers are encouraged, as the museum reception area may feel cooler. Small lockers will be available for those who want to bring a change of shoes, cardigan, etc. Additionally, we kindly ask guests to avoid wearing white to allow the couple to shine on their special day. Rest assured, you won’t need to worry about walking on grass or gravel, as all parking areas, paths, and event spaces are paved.
The closest airport to Raleigh is Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), which we highly recommend for its convenience. Other airports are at least two hours away. If you’re flying in, we strongly suggest renting a car to ensure timely arrival to the wedding and ease of travel within the area. For those traveling by train, the Raleigh Amtrak station is an option, but please keep in mind that car rental or rideshare services will still likely be necessary to get around.
There are several hotels nearby, though the closest options are still about 10-15 minutes away from the venue. Please note that Raleigh can experience heavy traffic at times, so we recommend planning to leave your hotel approximately 30 minutes before the ceremony to ensure you arrive on time. We do not have a specific room block reserved, so we encourage guests to book accommodations early to secure their preferred hotel. More information about recommended hotels can be found on the “Travel & Accommodations” tab of our website.
Transportation will not be provided as both the ceremony and reception will take place at the same location, the North Carolina Museum of Art. No travel will be necessary between events.
Yes, Uber and Lyft services are available in Raleigh. However, availability and rates can vary, particularly during peak times. If you’re flying in, renting a car is the most reliable option for timely and convenient travel.
After the ceremony, guests are invited to an outdoor cocktail hour with light hors d'oeuvres and drinks while the couple and their bridal parties take photos.
At this time, no additional events are planned. If anything changes, we’ll notify guests with details in advance.

Whichever option works best for you is perfect for us.
Both the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors, while the reception will be held indoors. May in Raleigh, NC, can be warm during the day and cooler in the evening, so dressing in layers or breathable fabrics is a good idea. Additionally, this time of year tends to bring some rain, so it might be helpful to have a backup outfit or plan for light rain gear. Rest assured, if rain is forecasted on the day of the wedding, we have a contingency plan to move both the ceremony and cocktail hour indoors.
Not yet, but we’d love your suggestions! If you have any creative ideas, feel free to share them with us.
