"Matthew, it sure has been one amazing journey to get to where we are! From long walks around the neighborhood to finding our spot in the green belt to being long distance most of our adult relationship to now. I would not change a single thing. I love you so much and cannot wait to be your wife in a few short months. To my amazing bridesmaids, I am so excited to go through this chapter of my life with each of you by my side. I couldn't have asked for more amazing friends and sisters to be apart of mine and Matt's special day!"

If you knew Ashley and I in high school, you know the spot between our parents’ houses. We were there often: to start a walk, to end a fight, to say sorry, to simply be together. More than a meeting place between houses, it was our emotional center. A symbolic root of the relationship. It’s a blessing to have deep roots; through the ups and downs (there was plenty of both) we are tied to that spot and each other. In college, we no longer had a spot but a destination. An hour drive through rustic Texas so we could be with each other...if only for a weekend. Trips to each other were full of anticipation and excitement; trips leaving were spent wondering where the time had gone. Thank y’all for being a part of our roots and routes to February 13th, 2021. We can’t wait for what’s next!

"As Ashleys sister, she has been by my side, through sharing rooms, playing games and moving countries. I have seen her grow up and I can’t wait to be by her side as she marries the man of her dreams!"
Best Man
My first memory of Ashley was riding the bus home from school our freshman year of high school. Her nickname for me and Matt were the “lovebugs”. I knew she always had a thing for Matt because no matter how hard I lobbied to be “Lovebug #1”, that title always belonged to Matt. I have known Matt for almost 14 years and I cannot wait to get to watch him get married. We first met in fifth grade after he moved from Virginia. We went through high school together. And then Matt and his family were a big part of me attending Texas A&M. Matt and his dad introduced me to Texas A&M and its traditions. We went on a visit together and then both ended up spending the next too many years there in the same program. Having grown up with him and being his roommate, I got to witness him growing with Ashley.

"The day Matthew told me he was going to propose, it was the first time he told anyone and it meant that I was able to see the pure sentiment. The way he talked about the proposal - there was something not explicitly expressed that just touched my heart and I knew, I knew that he was certain. I could feel the excitement when he talked; I could feel that blissful glee, that calm and sureness in his decision in a way I had not seen in him before. I knew then that when Matthew and Ashley come together it will be a beautiful, beautiful thing."

"Matt must be a super hero or something because I don’t know how he put up with Ashley for all those years. But seriously they are perfect for each other and are going to live a happy life together. I know this because I’ve seen them grow from the very beginning."

"To my best friend since childhood, when playing barbies and pushing each other down the stairs in cardboard boxes was still a thing! It has been a blessing to be by your side all these years and watch you and Matthew grow. I am beyond excited to be there next to you while you marry your best friend!

Where do I even begin? Matt and I have been friends since our freshman year in high school. The memories we have together are endless. However, a few of my favorites are skiing in Taos, New Mexico, skipping high school homecoming for the Dynamo game, and driving together in the old Tundra after practice. I will especially never forget Matt always being a supportive teammate in baseball, even after I hit his head once in the batting cage. As I reminisce about our friendship, it is impossible to forget when he started dating Ashley. They have a special relationship that I have had the privilege to watch grow throughout so many years. No matter what, I always knew they were meant for one another. I wish only the best for them and look forward to their wedding day!

"Ashley and I met in our college organization, Project Sunshine, but our friendship began with a trip to Sonic for 50¢ corn dogs. She has become my lifelong best friend and I am so happy she has found her soulmate! I'm glad she found Matt too."

"I’ve known Matt since we were 6 years old and it’s been an honor to share some huge moments with him. Confirmation, multiple graduations, and now, soon, his wedding. I’m incredibly proud and happy for him and Ashley for their commitment to each other and I can’t wait to be part of their wedding."

“Since 7th grade, we have walked through so many seasons of life together! From the awkward selfies in junior high, convincing everyone we were sisters, crashing golf carts, going on random day trips after learning to drive, graduating high school, going off to college, & now planning weddings! These past 11 years has been extra special to go through with my sweet friend. I am so incredibly excited for Ashley & Matt as they begin this new chapter!”

“Matt and I have been close since he took me to my first Aggie baseball game and introduced me to his group of friends. Since then, we have conquered freshman engineering and physics 2 together, watched the Aggies win some and lose some, and eventually walked out alive with engineering degrees. Best of luck to Ashley and Matt on their happily ever after!”

"I loved playing Phase 10, drinking wine, and eating buckets of crawfish together! We've supported each other through much, and I know I can always count on Ash to be honest, and to make me laugh."

"One time, Matt, Andrew, Grayson and I tried to start a sports website called Under The Bucket Hat. That failed because Andrew sold the domain to Josh for a half drank bottle of Whiskey. At least we got a free Astros game out of the ordeal. What could of been."
