The first time Matthew and I met was our freshman year of high school when we were both in the same homecoming group. While our families had been neighbors for a few years before, we never developed anything more than a causal acquaintanceship. However, after that homecoming, we walked around the neighborhood talking for hours and hours until Matt's mom yelled at him to go home. That night set in motion many more nights with very long talks. All throughout high school we frequently wandered the neighborhood, lost in conversation. As our relationship developed, eventually dating twice, we often met at "our spot" in the greenway halfway between our houses. This meeting spot held many of our relationship stories, laughs, and a few tears. One more high school breakup, then a three year relationship in college has brought us to this moment. As we begin the next phase in our lives, we are looking forward to finding a new "spot" to hold many more stories, laughs and tears!
