Mara and Katie met at a party in 2012. They ended up connecting a few months later over their shared interest in photography. Thus began a beautiful friendship. Mara and Katie talk daily on the phone and love collaborating on photography projects. From concocting fake snow for Christmas sessions to homemade, artisan bread in dutch ovens, they've covered quite a bit of ground. Katie considers Mara the 'sister she never had,' and is immensely grateful for her.

Simon and Seth grew up together in Worthington. They have shared many fun adventures together from football to climbing Devil's Tower. Simon is Priscilla's God father and a true joy to be around.

Erik and Seth have been friends for a long time. They share many interests including motorcycles, travel, and camping. Erik is the life of the party, and we're excited to have him as part of our big day.

Arlene and Katie started their friendship on the very first day of college at Hill House dorm. Their fathers met in the hallway and realized that their daughters would probably get along well. Katie's dad came into her room while she was unpacking and exclaimed with gusto, "I found you a friend. Her name is Arlene and she likes to cook, too." The rest is history!

When Katie began working at Calvary Baptist Church in early 2015, she quickly connected with Leah. Her joie de vivre, kindness, and beautiful disposition are all qualities that Katie admires in Leah. So it was no surprise that soon after meeting, she dubbed Leah her "Calvary BFF." Leah and Katie get to see one another often, usually at their favorite mom's group-- MOPS.

Lindsay is one of Katie's dearest friends. It all started when Katie was a senior in high school in Portland and Lindsay a missionary for the LDS church. Katie had the honor of attending Lindsay's wedding in Utah and cannot wait to have her part of her big day in Minneapolis. Since Lindsay and her husband moved to the desert, Katie has been praying and plotting to get them to settle in Minnesota, perhaps a visit during peak color season will sway the tide?!

Katie has known Jess for a few years now and often feels inspired and uplifted by her. A fellow photographer, Jess was there to capture Priscilla's newborn session and Katie had the honor of photographing the birth of Jess' second baby, Beckett. Jess has been a supportive and loving friend to Katie since day one.

Kate and Katie go back to their college days. They met while attending the University of Minnesota at their sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi. Kate has been a source of support, humor, and love throughout the years for Katie, especially as they've embarked on the journey of motherhood.
