The story goes back to summertime 2015. Katie created a Match.com account and placed a photo of herself with some friends at a Stillwater winery in her profile. A few days later, she noticed a comment on the photo by a certain handsome gentleman. The two began chatting and Seth sent Katie a handful of thoughtful, well written, and sweet messages. On a whim, Katie decided to take a break from online dating and didn't respond to Seth's last message. Whoops. Two years later he kept coming to mind, though, and Katie looked him up on Facebook. They started chatting, Seth complemented Katie's photography, and the rest is history.

Katie went back to work in October after having Priscilla. It was a normal Friday evening during the fall, meaning Katie was busy shooting and looking forward to the tradition of Friday Night Pizza Nite at home. Upon arrival Seth had pizza dough resting under a cloth, the baby happily sitting in her swing, and Astro participating as sous chef. Seth told Katie to distract Astro while he put the pizza in the oven so his nose wouldn't get burned. He did the same when the pizza was ready to come out. A few minutes later Seth asked Katie to come into the kitchen, as she rounded the corner Seth was down on one knee with a heart-shaped pizza in one hand and a stunning, diamond ring in another. He creatively and sweetly proposed with, "will you be a slice of my life forever?" Katie was overcome with emotion, but eventually answered "yes!"
