We're having a great time at Children's Museum of Pittsburgh and the only thing missing is you! Come design and create with ink, paint and clay in the Art Studio and try out real tools and materials such as wood, a loom and circuits in MAKESHOP, our tinkering space. Young ones can explore colors, shapes and textures for their developing minds in the Nursery, and explore moving, raining and frozen water in Waterplay. The Kindness Gallery and Garage round out the permanent exhibits, plus a rotating slate of temporary exhibits, creative programs and amazing interactive art. Next door at MuseumLab, our space for kids 10+, you can go deep on art and making projects from laser cutting to embroidery to animation, explore a 3-story climbing environment and get immersed in an inflatable maze. Visitors are invited to explore the public art displays in and around this whimsical outdoor museum which is located in the Mexican War Streets neighborhood. The area is also brimming with community gardens and features must-sees like the Mattress Factory Museum, a modern art museum which pioneered site-specific installation art. Randyland is open every day of the week and is free to visit, but donations are welcome.

Established in 2017, Federal Galley is the North Side’s food hall and restaurant accelerator featuring four unique restaurant concepts. Chefs operate their restaurants rent-free and fee-free for their entire stay with us. Galley Group collects 30% of the top line revenue and in turn provides all marketing, advertising, equipment maintenance, space upkeep, and utility costs. Galley Group additionally supports the chef-owners in building their brands and encourages their future success in the industry by providing them with the resources to thrive within our walls and beyond. Seating is communal and first-come, first-served. We encourage our guests to order from more than one of the restaurant concepts to get the full Galley experience.
