For all of our wedding events, the dress code is “Indian Cocktail Chic.” For women, this can include sarees, lehengas, or similar festive attire, and for men, we recommend suits and ties. Please keep in mind that July weather may be warm. The Hindu ceremony will take place outdoors, while the cocktail hour and reception will be held indoors in air-conditioned spaces. The good news is that all events take place at The Thayer Hotel, so there will be minimal walking between venues. As our events are scheduled back-to-back, we recommend choosing an outfit that is comfortable enough to wear throughout the day, as there won’t be much time to change between events.
We would ask everyone to be seated promptly at 3:30pm to welcome the Groom and to ensure our Ceremony can start on time.
Our cocktail hour will feature a selection of passed hors d’oeuvres, followed by a reception dinner with a buffet offering a variety of cuisines, including Indian-inspired fusion dishes. All menu items will be vegetarian, and if you have any food allergies or dietary preferences, please don’t hesitate to ask a server for assistance.
While our formal wedding events will conclude with the reception at 10:00 PM, guests who wish to keep the celebration going are welcome to gather at the rooftop bar afterward—Deepti and Sathwik plan to join you there! There are no scheduled wedding events the day before or after, but we encourage you to explore the area and make the most of your time. All overnight guests will receive complimentary valet service upon arrival. Guests not staying overnight may request valet service for $15 or choose to park at the bottom of the hill. For convenience, golf carts will be available to transport guests from the lower parking area to the hotel.
