Many mines in the area to tour or pan for gold and gems. We are particularly fond of Crisson Gold Mine. This is where we panned for some of the gold that is in each of our rings.
Amicalola Falls State Park
Amicalola Falls – a magnificent 729-foot waterfall that’s the third-highest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River. 8 miles from the Appalachian Trail and within the Chattahoochee National Forest. Zip line adventure, guided hikes to hiking 604 steps of the Falls. Fee for parking

2023 GEORGIA'S BEST SMALL TOWN - SOUTHERN LIVING Site of the first major U.S. Gold Rush and the Heart of Georgia Wine Country. Downtown is listed on the Historic Register. The Georgia State Capital dome is made by gold donated from the gold mines in Dalongea, GA. Multiple waterfalls in area.
