Yes, a passport with at least six months validity is strongly advised for entry. Make sure to renew your passport if it's expiring soon!
We hope you’ll be able to join us for our special day! Please click on "RSVP" on our home page or click the "Informal RSVP" tab to let us know your tentative plans. A formal RSVP will follow in the coming months.
We suggest that you plan to arrive on Thursday afternoon (Jan. 21st) or Friday morning (Jan. 22nd). We will be having Welcome Cocktails on Friday afternoon and everyone is welcome to join!
You will be flying to La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City (GUA). The airport is a 1-1.5 hour drive for Antigua.
Walking! Antigua is a pretty small and walkable city so we suggest you pack comfy shoes (sandals and/or sneakers) to walk around the cobblestone streets. If you get tired of walking, you can always get an Uber or a tuk-tuk (a 3-wheel taxi, just note that payment is cash only).
Quetzal is the official Guatemala currency. The exchange rate is usually between 7.60 to 8.00 quetzales to 1 USD or euro. ATMs are widely available especially around tourist areas. Larger hotels also have them inside their premises. Credit cards are accepted everywhere except local artisanal markets or souvenir shops and tuk-tuks (3-wheel taxis) so we recommend carrying some quetzales with you.
Cocktail Attire for Friday Welcome Cocktails (ladies: short dresses, jumpsuits, etc. / men: button down shirt, polo, etc.). Formal Attire for Saturday Ceremony and Reception (ladies: floor to mid-length dresses / men: suit or blazer accompanied by a tie). Extra tip for the ladies: The ceremony and reception will be held at an outdoor venue and streets in Antigua are cobblestone so if you would like to wear heels, we suggest wedge or block heels.
Our wedding ceremony and reception will be outdoors (tented).
