Old train terminal with the Chattanooga Choo Choo in the back! There’s a distillery, brewery, coffee shop, and some great restaurants in this complex.
There are multiple local breweries worth checking out! Here’s the list with our favorites at the top: - Oddstory Brewing: They have two locations, a 21+ taproom at 336 E MLK Blvd that has some unique beers and a good food truck (also their original location). This is a less than 10 minute walk from the Moxy. Their second location is their larger brewery which is family-friendly (and dog friendly). This is at 1604 Central Ave and also has food options. - Wanderlinger: This is the closest to the Moxy and is a short 5 minute walk away. It’s part of the Choo-Choo complex and you can take your beer to-go to enjoy in the outdoor garden. (Address: 55 Station St) - Hutton and Smith: One of the older breweries in town, and a 2 minute walk from Oddstory’s taproom on MLK blvd. This is a smaller and cozier brewery with no food but they do have some games in the back room! (Address 431 E MLK Blvd)
Book in advance - highly worth it! 1 hour tour plus generous local whiskey tasting. 5 minute walk from the Moxy.
Huge aquarium split up between the River side (freshwater) and Ocean side (salt water).
Cave tour of Ruby Falls - about 15 minutes from downtown. Admittedly gaudy but fun if you have the time!
We prefer this over Ruby Falls - amazing views, self-led through gardens, rock fixtures, bridges and more. Great if you have extra time!
Amazing homemade ice cream across the street from the Moxy!
Fun activity to take a ride up the mountain on a very steep railway!
Awesome pizza restaurant with an underground speakeasy - great vibe and drinks and right in the backyard of the Moxy!
Great park by the TN river, and a nice place to grab lunch at River Street Deli, a true NYC-style deli (151 River Street).
