Nicole “Nikki” Sansone

Nikki falls directly under Deby in the birth line. Growing up Deby and Nikki did everything together even though there was almost a 5 year age difference. They couldn’t be more opposite on the outside, but at heart they often refer to each other as each other’s “heart beat”. No one understands Deby quite like Nikki. Nikki (& Laila- Niks daughter) are Deb’s best friends in the world. If Deby is on the phone you can usually hear Rick in the background asking, “is that Nik”. Safe to say Deby and Nikki call each other at least 4 times a day. Nikki is also the more funny sister and brings out Deby’s best side. She often tells people when referring to Deby, “I wish we could talk to each other in our sleep”. Deby couldn’t imagine having anyone else to stand by her side on the alter.

Maureen Sansone

Maureen is Deby’s sister in law, but has been more of a sister for most of her life. Maureen started dating Deby’s brother Mike when Deby was just 9 years old. Maureen is Deby’s role model, best friend, and the mother she hopes to become one day. Maureen has brought 5 of Deby’s nieces and nephews into the world and because of this has given Deby’s life more meaning and purpose. Maureen is most similar to Deby’s Mom and brings great joy to Deby’s life by keeping her memory alive. Maureen even had the pleasure of knowing Deby’s Mom before she went to Heaven. Maureen is a gift to our family and I love her more than I could ever express.

Christine Sleezer

Christine is the oldest sister of Deby’s. Christine loves horses and farm land and well, Deby would like to be as far away from both as possible 😂. Tine has been the matriarch of their big family growing up. Christine and Deby have always had the most entertaining arguments between each other, but no one is a fiercer protector than Deby’s big sister Christine. Christine is welcoming her 3rd child 3 months before Deby gets married and has handled it like a champion. That’s just who Christine is. She paved the way for all of her sisters and has been a sounding board throughout all of Deby’s life. She exemplifies unconditional love and loyalty for family and nothing makes Deby more proud than to celebrate this day with the woman who taught her everything (Christine).

Carrie Schultz

Carrie is Deby’s other older sister and for sure the one Deby always strived to be like. Carrie has a more calm demeanor compared to Deby, but is also the toughest one in Deby’s eyes. Don’t mess with Care. Growing up you could often find Deby trying to pick the exact same outfit, hair, and make up that Carrie was wearing. There’s no one else Deby wanted to be more like growing up. Deby served as maid of honor in Carrie’s wedding and it was one of the greatest days of her life. You can find Deby following Carrie around or copying every single thing she does. Carrie has always been Deby’s smile on a rainy day and she is the most like our Mom.

Lilly Sansone

Lilly is the youngest child in our family of 7 kids and the youngest of 5 girls. She is often referred to as my Dad’s “favorite”. Lilly has grown into a beautiful woman who will be getting married just 6 months before Deby! Lil has always exemplified determination and perseverance. She is a bright light to our family and kept all of us going after we lost our Mom. She was the sun we all needed! She was also the most beautiful baby with white blonde hair (talk about opposite of me). Lilly is the anchor of our family and ties it all together. It wouldn’t be a wedding without Lilly up there celebrating with us.

Annie Mayer

Annie is Deby’s oldest female cousin. She babysat Deby and has been the matriarch of the entire grandchildren and great grandchildren (over 70 of us). While Deby was attending boarding school in CT, Annie was attending Yale University to receive her masters in Business and was Deby’s closest cousin who helped her through (different story for another time). She then went on to get her law degree after that. You can usually find Deby walking around telling people that Annie lived and worked in Europe. That she speaks fluent Italian, English, Spanish and French. Deby has always been so proud to be Annie’s cousin. Annie is a wonderful wife, mother and a very successful business woman. Deby grew up aspiring to have those qualities. Annie has always been a pioneer to the women in our family.

Sophia Sansone

Sophia is another one of Deby’s cousins. She is the oldest daughter of 10 kids. She has 5 older brothers so she’s one of the toughest, most independent women you can meet, while also knowing how to be a lady. Sophia makes Deby laugh every time they are together. You can’t find anyone in our family that doesn’t love Sophia. Deby couldn’t imagine not having Sophia stand beside her on her wedding day. Sophia has been another extension of a sister to Deby. They grew up going to grade school together and even attended the same high school. Sophia is also a tremendous success in her career in Nashville TN. She has been apart of some of Deby’s greatest memories and has always been more than just her cousin.

Toni Ruiz

Toni is one of Deby’s cousins. She is an all star Soccer player who played at Tulane University. She was always the “sporty one” Deby wanted to be like. Now she is a very successful attorney, a wife and a mother to three. You can often find Toni’s children on Deby’s Instagram page because they are the cutest children on Earth. Toni has been a lifeline to Deby for as long as Deby can remember. She has protected her and stood beside her through everything. Toni and her two sisters (Annie and Tina) have been an extension of sisters to Deby. It was a no brainer to have Toni be apart of the most important day of her life.

Tina Schlapprizzi

Tina is another cousin of Deby’s and one of her biggest supporters from the beginning. No matter how annoying Deby has been— Tina has always stuck beside her. Tina is the epitome of family first. She keeps my Grandfathers legacy alive in that way. She is the most genuine and giving person in our family. She is the constant in our big family and you can always count on her for everything. Tina is also my Mom’s god child and they had a very special relationship. I know if my Mom were here she’d be so proud to see us both standing together on this special day of my life. I can’t wait to celebrate Tina on her wedding day some day. The man that gets her will be the most lucky.

Maria is yet another cousin of Deby’s (yes Deby has many cousins). She is the oldest of 6 children and the absolute best to be around. You can find Maria at any family event with a smile on her face and the most calming presence in the family. Deby has grown so close to Maria in their adult life and she couldn’t imagine not having her up there. Deby was fortunate enough to do Maria’s hair for her wedding day, so it’s only fitting that Maria is apart of Deby’s day too. Maria has become one of Deby’s closest confidants, treasured friends, and an exceptional leader of our big family.

Cortney McKenna

Cortney has been Deby’s best friend since they were 15 years old. Shortly after Deby and Rick set their wedding date, Cortney called Deby to tell her, her and her husband Kyle were expecting their first child. It was a miracle she conceived naturally and the first thing out of her mouth was, “but it’s your day! This year is all about you”. Always thinking about those around her (sometimes to a fault). Together Cort and Deby have survived great loss, Cortney overcame brain cancer, and they have been through more together in the last 15 years than people go through in their entire lifetime. Cortney has always and will forever be Deby’s 6th sister. Deby knows her Mom brought Cortney and her family into her life. Cort is the strongest person Deby knows and the greatest friend she’s ever had.

Megan Barth

Megan is one of Deby’s closest friends and keeper of all of Deby’s secrets. Megan can understand Deby without words, it’s her superpower. Deby and Megan have always been on the same page. Megan is hands down the most giving and loyal friend Deby has ever known. They have been through loss, pain, and come out on the other side together. Through it all Meg has always been a constant. Megan is as independent as they come and the Mother that Deby will strive to be like. Megan is also one of Deby’s Dads favorites. She is known in our family as the friend with the “good skin that always smells good”. She will always and forever be one of Deby’s most treasured friends.

Alyssa Margiotta

Alyssa has served as Deby’s better half in most of her “single days”. A long time ago and when they were both single, chances are if you saw Deby you saw Alyssa. She came into Deby’s life at a time when Deby really needed it. She is one of Deby’s closest friends and has always served as a girlfriend that just understood and never ever judged. Alyssa is probably the most easy going friend Deby has and someone Deby needs in her life. She has been there through tears, laughs, and smiles with Deby. Never wavering from the friend that Deby needed. Deby can’t imagine not having Alyssa stand beside on her on her special day.

Makena Jackman

Deby has known Makena before she came into the world. Deby was there when Makena came home from the hospital. The Jackman family has become a second family to Deby. They gave her a nannying job when she was a punk kid. That job turned into a lifelong relationship with their entire family. They are some of Deby’s happiest times in life and have been unconditional since Deby met them 13.5 years ago. She could not imagine not having Makena as a Jr. bridesmaid when she gets married. It was always the plan!
