We're getting married!

We met at a work happy hour for a mutual co-worker. We hit it off right away and talked most of the night! Over the next few weeks we established a great friendship and realized how much we had in common and could not make it a day with out talking to each other. This was both exciting and unexpected for both of us! A few dates later we knew this was something special and have been excited about our future together ever since.

Dave had planned a date night in Grand Haven, which wasn't completely out of the ordinary as that is one of our favorite places during the summer. The plan was to walk the pier and then go to dinner. I had thought he might propose in the summer at some point, but did not think it would happen that night. As we walked the pier he was completely cool and did not show any nerves at all! We were getting ready to head back to the car, when I turned around and he was down on one knee! I could not believe it was happening and of course I said yes! We finished the night celebrating with dinner and champagne on the beach! It was perfect! We are so excited for this next chapter in our lives and to share our favorite vacation spot with you! See you in Mackinac Island!
