Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Debika Mitra and Scott Strobel
Whether you want to explore the city of Atlanta or enjoy the beautiful North Georgia Mountains, there is something for everyone! Here are some of our favorite places to check out within 1 hour of the hotel.

World of Coca-Cola

121 Baker Street Northwest, Atlanta, GA

Debika took Scott to the World of Coca-Cola on Scott's first visit to ATL. They got to watch the bottling process and try 18 different types of Coca-Cola from all over the world.

Georgia Aquarium

225 Baker Street Northwest, Atlanta, GA

Debika went to the aquarium almost every year in college as part of Georgia Tech Night at the Aquarium. Go see the beluga whales at the largest aquarium in the US!

Centennial Olympic Park

Centennial Olympic Park Drive Northwest, Atlanta, GA

ATL hosted the summer olympics in 1996. This park was super close to Georgia Tech, and Scott and Debika saw their favorite band, O.A.R, here during Scott's first visit to ATL.

Atlanta Botanical Garden

1345 Piedmont Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA

Flowers. Pretty flowers. Butterflies. Enough said.

Fernbank Museum of Natural History

767 Clifton Road, Atlanta, GA

Dinosaurs, anyone?

Lake Lanier

GA

Pack a picnic lunch, rent a boat or drive around the lake if you get a chance! It's only 40 minutes from the hotel.

Amicalola Falls State Park

Amicalola Falls State Park Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534

No better place to be if you appreciate fall colors and waterfalls! Mid-late October is the perfect time to visit Amicalola Falls State Park.

Helen

Helen, GA 30545

Get your schnitzel on in this quaint little German village.

Dahlonega

Dahlonega, GA

Debika has always wanted to visit Dahlonega for the beautiful waterfalls!! For the Californians- Dahlonega is apparently considered the heart of wine country in GA!

Stone Mountain

Stone Mountain, GA

Stone Mountain is amazing whether you hike up the mountain or take the trolley up. The laser show at night is a must if you have time. One of Scott and Debika's favorite ATL memories includes watching the fireworks from the top of the mountain. FYI - not the most politically correct monument, but the views are gorgeous.

Vickery Creek Falls Roswell Mill

95 Mill Street, Roswell, GA

Debika didn't discover Vickery Creek until just a few years ago. Roswell Mill is a pretty cool historical area and the vickery creek trail is beautiful.
