About Our Venue

ABOUT TERAVANA

Teravana (aka Sonoma Forest Sanctuary) is on 700+ acres of rolling hills and redwoods. It operates not only as a wedding venue, but also as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that runs a produce farm, hosts events for the community, and conducts research on redwood preservation, reforestation, and tree cloning. Part of their wildlife restoration efforts include animals: there's a stable for horses, and a herd of about 20 Watusi cows grazes the grounds. Teravana also runs an artist's residency, with ceramics and printmaking studios. There will be someone onsite who can answer questions about their community efforts and research-- feel free to ask about redwood trees' electrical frequencies, or tree cloning, or the artists who live on site! And https://teravana.org/ has even more information. During the wedding weekend-- probably Sunday, given the schedule-- you can wander the hiking trails, go searching for the Watusi cows or the goats or horses, and otherwise explore the beautiful area.

Driving Instructions

There will be some signage, but since THERE IS VERY LITTLE CELL SERVICE on the drive once you pass Guerneville, here are some instructions: -Plug in 19540 King Ridge Rd., and download the driving directions off Apple/Google Maps -After the Cazadero General Store, Cazadero Highway ends into a stop sign and a fork. Make sure to take King Ridge Rd., the middle/right option. -Drive past Teravana South Gate-- the correct driveway is Teravana North Gate. -Once you enter the grounds, there will be signs pointing you to parking! First, you'll hit an electric gate (code 5750 + diamond key). Next, you'll follow the paved road about a mile to the second gate, which will be open. -Follow signs to park!
