FAQs

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Absolutely—children of all ages are not only welcome but encouraged! We're thrilled to celebrate with the next generation and hope our wedding creates a meaningful memory for them. We understand that young children may need a break during the ceremony, so we've designated a comfortable space where parents can step away if needed. We do ask that children be supervised throughout the church, as there are several potential hazards to be mindful of, including glass vases, candles, and elevated pews. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe and comfortable.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

**ALL-BLACK Formal Attire Requested** We kindly ask all guests to wear formal attire as we celebrate together. **For Ladies:** We invite you to wear below-the-knee or floor-length **ALL BLACK** dresses that embody elegance and grace. **For Gentlemen:** Please wear black dress pants accompanied with a white or black button down shirt. It is encouraged to finish your look with a black tie or bow tie to reflect the formal dress code. To go the extra mile, a black jacket/sport's coat is warmly welcomed. **For Children:** We'd love to see children dressed in **ALL BLACK** dresses or little black suits to reflect the formal dress code. Hair bows and accessories add a beautiful touch. **A Helpful Note:** Our Wedding Mass will last approximately one hour and includes periods of sitting, standing, and kneeling. We encourage you to prioritize comfort when selecting your outfit. Please avoid shorts, denim, and baseball caps.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

We've chosen to keep our celebration family-friendly, and alcohol isn't permitted on the church premises as part of our rental agreement. We hope you'll respect this sacred space. That said, there are plenty of bars within a 2-mile radius where you're welcome to toast us before the ceremony or after we depart—we'll need to leave by 10 pm. Thank you all for your understanding and consideration.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos during our Wedding Mass. We've hired professional photographers to capture every moment, so you can simply be present and enjoy the celebration with us. Please keep your phones on silent and put them away during our sacrament.

Question

Will there be a registry?

Answer

With grateful hearts, we thank God for the blessing of this marriage and for each of you who will share in our joy. Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could receive. For those who have asked about giving, we will have a card/gifts table. A contribution to our Newlywed Fund to help us begin our life together and prepare for our honeymoon is greatly appreciated, however not expected. We are deeply thankful for your love, prayers, and support as we step into this covenant of marriage.
