Where to Stay
The Bali Hai wedding venue is in the heart of San Diego- less than 3 miles from the airport and 5 miles away from downtown. This area of San Diego has an abundance of lodging options from Hotels to AirBnbs. We encourage you to stay wherever you feel most comfortable or ignites your adventurous spirit! If you do choose to stay in a different part of San Diego (outside of the immediate downtown area) please keep in mind that traffic can build up on Thursday afternoons when preparing to travel to our ceremony. For those who wish to stay closest to the wedding venue, the 4 hotels linked below are all located less than 1 mile away from the Bali Hai.

Getting Around San Diego
While San Diego does have public transit (a commuter rail and a bus system), we recommend that you either rent a vehicle, utilize a taxi service, or prepare to use ride-sharing apps such as Uber or Lyft.

Humphreys Half Moon Inn is the closest option to our wedding venue as it is only a 5min walk and less than a quarter mile away from the Bali Hai. Fun Fact- Deanna's dad used to work at this hotel in the 70s!

The Bay Club Hotel & Marina is the second closet option to our venue and is more moderately priced than Humphreys Half Moon Inn.

The Best Western is half a mile away from the venue and and is the most budget friendly option on Shelter Island.
