Deanna and Chris’s love story is a delightful blend of fate, friendship, and just the right amount of margarita magic. It all began thanks to a clever roommate, Deanna’s at the time, and coincidentally, Chris’s coworker, who noticed they were both growing weary of the dating scene. With a bit of matchmaking intuition, she brought them together. She had no idea she was setting the stage for a rom-com-worthy romance. Enter margaritas. With just the right amount of liquid courage, Deanna decided to ignore the fact that Chris is a Taurus and give him a shot. What followed was a texting spree that covered lockdown life, a mutual obsession with cheese, and which Sopranos episodes are truly elite. That first conversation was so good, they literally framed it—and now it hangs in their bedroom like a tiny shrine to their beginning. Soon, they were navigating a long-distance relationship between Buffalo and Jersey City, powered by late-night calls, weekend trips, and a growing feeling that this was it. Eventually, Chris packed up and moved to Weehawken, and just like that—they were no longer long-distance, just in love. Together, they built a cozy, quirky life: think home-cooked meals, digging through record bins, and bonding over Bravo (Deanna’s pick, but Chris is 100% more into it than he lets on). After two fun-filled years in New Jersey, they made the heartfelt decision to move back to Buffalo. They crashed with Deanna’s parents for a bit, soaking up family time. Especially with their tiny tornadoes of joy (a.k.a. their nephews) before heading northwest to plant roots. In January 2025, they found THE house in Kenmore, NY. And just weeks later, while soaking up sun and sand on their annual Puerto Rico trip, Chris got down on one knee. Ocean views, happy tears, and one sparkly ring later—they were engaged! Now, as they count down the days to their wedding on July 11, 2026, in their beloved hometown of Buffalo, Deanna and Chris are filled with joy and gratitude. They can’t wait to celebrate, dance & cheers with the friends and family who’ve cheered them on every step of the way—and maybe even sneak in a little cheese board action with all their favorite humans.
