Travel Note
If you plan on attending our wedding in South Africa, we recommend extending your stay and turning it into a memorable vacation. The journey to South Africa can take 25+ hours for some guests, so taking advantage of your time in this incredible country is worth considering. With its diverse landscapes, rich culture, and fascinating history, South Africa offers plenty of opportunities for exploration and adventure. Flight
The most convenient airport to fly into for the wedding is Cape Town International Airport (CPT). However, if you fly into Johannesburg (JNB), there are plenty of flight options within South Africa that can take you to Cape Town.

If you're traveling from the United States, there are several direct flight options to Cape Town (CPT). United Airlines offers direct flights from Newark (EWR) and Washington DC (IAD) to Cape Town (CPT). Delta Airlines also offers direct flights from Atlanta (ATL) to Cape Town (CPT), or you can fly from Atlanta (ATL) to Johannesburg (JNB) and then connect to Cape Town (CPT) on the Delta triangular route. In addition, there are other flight options through the United Kingdom on Virgin or British Airways, through Europe via Amsterdam (KLM), Paris (Air France), or Frankfurt (Lufthansa), or the Middle East on Emirates, Etihad, or Qatar. Finally there are options from Australia on Qantas.
Travel Note
We are compiling a list of accommodation options for guests around the wedding date. Depending on your itinerary, you may choose to stay in the picturesque Cape Winelands (where the wedding is taking place) or within Cape Town itself. We are working on the logistics for shuttle services on the night of the wedding. As our wedding is in December (Summer in South Africa), Cape Town is a popular destination and hotels will fill up fast. We recommend booking your accommodation as soon as possible, especially if you're traveling from far away. Consider renting an Airbnb if you're traveling with a group for a cost-effective and practical option.

If you're planning to stay in Cape Town, The Westin is an excellent, very central and convenient accommodation option. Hotels.com may offer a Reserve Now, Pay Later feature, which is perfect for those who are still undecided about making the trip. There is not an official room block at The Westin, but if that changes we will let you know! ~45min - 1hr from the wedding venue.

Nestled between the majestic Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean, the Protea Hotel Cape Town Sea Point offers a beautiful fusion of elegance and laid-back comfort. A short stroll away from the beach, the hotel provides stunning views. ~45min - 1hr from the wedding venue.

Santé Wellness Retreat & Spa is a luxurious, award winning Wellness Retreat situated in the beautiful Western Cape Winelands. Located 15 minutes away from the wedding venue.

There are a variety of guest houses and hotel options in Franschhoek, which is about 30 minutes from the wedding venue. Franschhoek is a charming town nestled in the heart of the Cape Winelands region of South Africa, renowned for its gorgeous vineyards, world-class cuisine and picturesque beauty.

There are many guesthouse and hotel options in Stellenbosch, the center of which is roughly 20 minutes from the wedding venue. Stellenbosch is a picturesque and quaint town, known for its beauty, world-class vineyards and rich cultural heritage.
Travel Note
If you wish to explore South Africa during your stay for our wedding, renting a car is a great option. It will give you the freedom to explore at your own pace and make the most of your time. Both Avis and Hertz are reputable car rental companies with locations in Cape Town. We recommend booking your rental car in advance to ensure availability, especially during high season. Alternatively, Uber is widely available in South Africa and is a great, inexpensive and safe option. It's a convenient way to get around the Cape Town area and the Winelands without the hassle of driving oneself!
