Many of you have heard the story by now and it always begins the same way, with a new employee onboarding training session! The moment Dayanna logged in and Chris laid eyes on her, he was immediately smitten. From there it evolved into work calls and messages, oftentimes with one asking the other a question they already knew the answer to. After many "happy hours" between the two of them and despite Dayanna's best efforts to not fall for a co-worker, a strong bond formed. After a few months the relationship formally kicked into gear, and boy did it! Dayanna taught Chris many things about the culture of Colombia. From making arepas, to dancing salsa, to learning Spanish, Chris quickly fell in love with it all. Dayanna also learned new things in turn from Chris like how to catch blue crabs & make pasta from scratch. Throughout their time together they have never stopped learning new things from one another and enjoy every minute between the two of them. Whether it is traveling to Colombia & Italy, simply grocery shopping at the Italian Market or taking their beloved Mila to the dog park, they love it all the same. One of the biggest feelings the two of them cherished most as their relationship grew, was how comfortable and at home they each felt amongst the other's friends & family, who they now consider their own as well. Eventually, Chris formed his ultimate plan to propose in Newport, RI. With the help of many friends and family, it all came to fruition on the windy day of May 18th, 2024 when Chris popped the question to Dayanna along the Atlantic coast looking out to sea surrounded by their families, some of which were a great surprise! Chris & Dayanna look forward to a lifetime of fun, happiness, & love and can't wait to begin the next chapter with their friends and family in Medellin in September 2025! Muchos de ustedes ya han oído la historia y siempre empieza de la misma manera, con una session de capacitación para nuevos empleados. En el momento que Dayanna se conectó y Chris la vió, el quedó completamente flechado. Desde ahi evolucionó a llamadas y mensajes de trabajo, a menudo en los que uno le hacía al otro una pregunta de la que ya sabía la respuesta. Despues de muchas “happy hour” entre los dos y pese a los esfuerzos de Dayanna de no enamorarde de un compañero de trabajo, un fuerte vinculo se formó. Despues de unos meses la relación cojió impulso y que impulso! Dayanna le enseñó a Chris muchas cosas de la cultura colombiana, desde hacer arepas, hasta bailar salsa y aprender español, Chris se enamoró rápidamente de todo aquello. Dayanna tambien aprendió nuevas cosas con Chris, como a atrapar cangrejos azules y hacer pasta desde cero. Durante el tiempo juntos, nunca han parado de aprender nuevas cosas el uno del otro y de disfrutar cada minuto juntos. Ya sea viajando a Colombia e Italia, siemplemente yendo a hacer mercado al Mercado Italiano y la placita, o llevando a su amada Mila al parque de perros, todo lo disfrutan por igual. Uno de los sentimientos que más apreciaron los dos a medida que crecía su relación, fue lo cómodos y a gusto que se sentia cada uno entre la familia y amigos del otro, a quienes consideran ahora tambien suyos. Eventualmente Chris planeó porponer matrimonio en Newport, RI. Con la ayuda de familia y amigos, todo se hizo realidad en el ventoso dia del 18 de Mayo del 2024 cuando Chris le propuso matrimonio a Dayanna a lo largo de la costa atlántica mirando al mar rodeados de sus familias, ¡algunas de las cuales fueron una gran sorpresa! ¡Chris y Dayanna anhelan una vida de diversión, felicidad y amor y no pueden esperar para comenzar el próximo capítulo con sus amigos y familiares en Medellín en septiembre del 2025!
