Haidy Perez

Flower Girl

When I first met Dayana, I had just came out of my mom’s stomach. When I was still a baby, I didn’t like Dayana very much. Every time I saw her I would get mad and cry. But as I got older and older, I would like her more and more. And ever since I thought of her as my older sis, and almost every weekend we would go to the park and wear matching outfits. She is fun but I get mad when she makes me eat healthy. Ever since she has been dating Shane I would always hope that she has a happy relationship. I can’t wait to see her happy at her wedding. Maybe not the kissing part, but I also really hope that they both stay together forever. I am soo proud of her, I love you big sis.

Kori Rodriguez

Ring Bearer

When I first laid my eyes on dad..well, I don’t remember. Out of all of us, I've seen dad grow the most in his faith with God and his love for me and Dayana. When I met Dayana I just thought that it was another one of dad’s friends. I didn’t really think much of it until they started to hug and kiss on the cheek. I then began shaking, a lot of thoughts were rushing to my head, like "is she gonna be my new mom? is she gonna live with us". I didn’t know what was gonna happen, but after I started to talk to Dayana she was really nice. What usually happens you know in movies when another person comes in the family it starts chaos. Dayana has been wonderful to me. In all honesty, I'm proud to have dad and Dayana there by my side in my walk with faith.

Viviana Bucarello

Maid of Honor

Dayana and I met 25 years ago in a local clinic in Merida, Venezuela. From the moment we met, I welcomed her into our family with open arms. I made her feel right at home—just ask Mom. We quickly became inseparable. Mom made us share EVERYTHING together, crazy right? We’ve experienced many things—from moving to a foreign country to learning a new language to bonding over skinny popcorn while watching sappy Lifetime movies. She has an infectious laugh but suffers from DOL (Delayed Onset Laughter) when she finally gets a joke. I love her for her huge heart, her cheesy sense of humor and her ability to find the optimistic viewpoint in every situation. It's safe to say she’s an amazing human being. And I can't wait to embarrass her somehow on the day of...what are sisters for? ♥️

Jim Rodriguez

Best Man

I met Shane December 28, 1987 when he was born. I was told I was having a little sister and was excited, but I got him instead. Growing up, Shane and I didn’t really hang out because of our age difference. We butted heads pretty good, but in the end we always had each other’s backs. I’ve always tried to be there for him and he’s always done the same. Even though I’m older I still ask him for advice. I’m very thankful for the relationship we have now and that I get to watch him be with the love of his life. He deserves Dayana and she deserves him. One thing I know Shane will bring into this marriage is love. He’s the best uncle my girls can have and a great father. I know he will be an amazing husband and Dayana will keep him in line if he ever needs it. Love you little brother!

Johanna De Silva

Bridesmaid

My cousin and I met at 15 years old. Little did I now that this God-loving, nutella fanatic, heart of gold person would be one that I would cherish for the rest of my life. Through our travels around New York City and long distance friendship I have come to love her more. And I feel so honored to now get to stand (and dance) by her side on such a special day as she marries the love of her life.

Jesus Flores

Groomsman

I met Shane through a group of friends, one thing that I noticed about him early on is that he’d always have a ton of positive energy. Shane truly wears his heart on his sleeve and cares about his friends happiness. When I hit rock bottom, Shane was there to pull me out of my funk and motivated me to keep pushing forward. I’m very sure that Dayana will find eternal happiness with Shane because he is a great friend and I know he will be an even greater husband.

Rosalie Cutrer

Bridesmaid

Dayana and I have definitely stood the test of time, distance, and life’s inevitable challenges--giving me confidence that no matter where we are or what season we're in, we are in it for the long haul! My favorite thing about Dayana is her genuine love for Christ and desire to involve him in every area of her life. I prayed for a best friend who I could pursue Christ with and would always lead me back to him. She’s been exactly that and more! I also love that she isn’t afraid to be goofy, silly, and go along with my stupid punny jokes! Her jokes have actually gotten pretty funny over the years. She has a real bride future ahead of her! I’m blessed to watch my best friend, my sister, and mi hermana en Christo walk down the aisle to marry the man God destined her to be with. Love you DAYA!

Rick Garcia

Groomsman

Rick and Shane met through a mutual friend on a guys night out. It all started with a competitive game of foosball. From there, their friendship grew and bonded over some great sushi dinners. Rick is one of the most honest keep it real dudes. Find one of the biggest smiles in the room and it probably be Rick.

Stephanie Caballero

Bridesmaid

Stephanie and Dayana met through her husband, Yassiel, back in 2015 then they were co-tutors for a program they started at their local church. Yassiel thought the introduction would be fleeting but the opposite took place. After the session, they ended the night with massive Chipotle bowls while sharing their life stories only to find out that there was more in common than they thought possible. From heartbreak and relationships, to the college struggles and graduations, and now to getting engaged and married! The feeling never goes away at what a blessing it is to get to do life together. From Stephanie you can expect excitement for the chocolate deserts and puny jokes--she loves a good pun!

Yassiel Caballero

Groomsman

I met Dayana through her sister, Viviana. When Vivi and I were both in high school, every once in a while, we would walk over to the middle school to pick up Dayana from school. To me, she was just the little sister. Fast forward 10 years, after distance and time took its course, I was able to reconnect with the family. The promise of Arepas led me to help them move into their new home and Dayana’s sarcasm and inclusivity is what made us great friends. Her love for sweets actually brought us closer together. She once posted a dessert recipe on Facebook and that turned into many movie nights with the family and study sessions for her anatomy class. For the past 6 years, Dayana has been an incredible friend and it has been a privilege to see her grow as a Godly woman and a great chiropractor. I share fun memories full of food and laughter with this beautiful couple and can’t wait to see how they pursue God together.
