We went to Florida to celebrate my college graduation and had decided to go to Siesta Key Beach the day after we arrived. His friend had brought a camera with him to take pictures, so Kyle suggested we ask him to take a few pictures of us. It ended up turning into a whole photoshoot that ended with him saying I should take a few by myself. They said I should walk away from them, towards the water, and turn around on their signal. When I turned around, I saw Kyle on one knee of me, and he asked me to marry him. It was such a beautiful moment :)
Some people may still be slightly confused why we are having a wedding when we are already married, so I figured I would explain. Kyle and I got engaged May of 2021 which was also still pretty deep into Covid. While everyone could be out in the world again, we were still wearing masks and international travel was still not open. As Kyle's mom and other family are in France, and people from France were still not allowed to leave the country, it was getting to the point to make a decision. Do we postpone the wedding and wait to get married until the borders open? Or do we just have a tiny wedding and wait to have the big wedding once we know for sure COVID would not affect it? While it was an incredibly tough decision we decided to have a small wedding with just my parents, and his dad at a church and postpone the wedding I had been planning. Our wedding was so cute and special but it hurt my heart not to be able to celebrate with all of you. Finally, over two years later, we are so excited to be able to celebrate our marriage and have the wedding COVID took away from us. I am so beyond excited to see all of your beautiful faces and dance the night away.
