Wedding Party

Susan Bell

Maid of Honor

Susan and I met in high school (oh yeah, we were in the color guard together!) so we've been friends for more years than either of us would like to confess. Suffice it to say, we've been friends for so long that we know all the major milestones in each other's lives. . . and where all the skeletons are buried! Susan has known me long enough to know that Timothy is the best man I've ever had in my life. My wedding day could not possibly be complete without my oldest, or should I say longest, friend.

Brandy Zollars

Bridesmaid

Brandy and I met in bar tending school at a very volatile time in my life and a very formative time in hers. I was going through almost every major life change one can experience when I met Brandy and we became immediate friends. Since then we've shared many adventures together, from white water rafting (finally making it there after the transmission in my car died and luckily not dying when our raft flipped over in a class 5+ rapid), to working in Alaska at an eco-lodge for a summer (after surviving my driving the wrong way down a one way road), to several adventures in Vegas (and what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas). My wedding day is just another adventure for which Brandy will be at my side. I couldn't imagine it any other way.

Sheri Shannon

Bridesmaid

Sheri and I met through Timothy. I confess she is one of his friends that I totally adopted. Sheri does two very important things in my life, she makes me laugh and she makes me think. She's also a friend who doesn't roll her eyes when I want to talk, usually scream, about college football. Anyone who knows us knows Timothy and I can get "exuberant" about football and Sheri does the same for most sports! Shortly after Timothy and I got engaged, Sheri and I realized we are wedding twins, right down to our engagement rings. Sheri has been indispensable in helping me shop for my dress and in teaching me all about paper products. So excited to have her with us for our big day just as we were for hers.

Juli Steinhouse

Bridesmaid

Juli and I met through a friend and I'll just say Juli is the best thing I got from that relationship! Juli and I quickly bonded over our mutual love of live theater, yummy food, high tea, spa days, and generally having lots of fun and new experiences together. I like to think that I helped Juli through an important transitional phase in her life that may have led to her finding her own "happily ever after". I was honored to be in her wedding and I'm thrilled that she's going to be in mine.

Annie Gunter

Best Woman

You couldn't find a better trivia and beer partner than Annie, and that's exactly how we met! We became friends during the last semester of my college career and solidified our friendship as she transitioned to law school and I transitioned to DC. With a shared love of bourbon and all things geek, Annie has always been the person I could lean on throughout the years.

Susan Bruno

Groomswoman

Susan and I met while attending a conference on sexuality and feminism. She's quickly become my closest friend in the DC area. Though we strongly differ in our opinions on dogs vs. cats, we definitely have no qualms when it comes to cooking and baking. We've fueled each other's adventures in the kitchen and also a bit of waistline as well. There isn't a cookie that together we can't conquer!

Erika Clark

Groomswoman

Erika has been a friend of mine since waaaaaaaaaaay back in high school. We were both band geeks and endured countless renditions of Kool and the Gang's "Celebration" throughout many weeks of band camp. Over the years Erika and I have grown close watching each other make numerous questionable life decisions, but always coming out on the other side. I'd give the shirt off my back to help Erika out (and have). No wedding of mine would be complete without her there.

Miranda Martin

Groomswoman

Miranda and I met during the trials and tribulations of a college sweatshop...err...photo shop. We both loved getting out of the office with borrowed equipment and bettering our shooting skills. She followed my adventure to DC closely as I watched her off toward Boston and now Chicago. There aren't many folks I can count on to geek out over books or grammatical correctness, but Miranda is definitely one of them! Oh, and terrible television. Holy crap do we love some terrible television shows.

Lauren Durst

Groomswoman

Lauren is the perfect beer festival partner. Her a lover of IPAs, and myself a lover of everything else. We can hit each booth and completely enjoy the opposite picks of brews. I met Lauren like I've met many friends, on the Twitter. We definitely bonded over beer, cheese, and books, and a mutual enjoyment of being total wise-asses.

Jennifer and Jamie Axtell

Officiants

Timothy met Jenny through the wonders of social media and we have all become fast friends. Jenny and Jamie are two of the kindest souls we've ever met. Jamie is every bit the comedian and actor, while Jenny is the absolute life of the party. We couldn't think of a better way to make our nuptials official than with them administering them.
