FAQs

Question

What's the dress code for this soiree?

Answer

Fabulous, glamorous, glittery, dashing, debonair. In other words, formal with your personal flair and style! Dazzle us! The bride is wearing red.

Question

Are there hotels close to the venue?

Answer

There are many hotels around the venue! Please feel free to stay in any one that suits your needs. We don't have blocks of rooms or special rates at any hotel other than the Mansion on O St (www.omansion.com). For the discount at The Mansion register online, choose wedding guest from the list, put Dawn Eastman & Timothy Williamson in the space for couple's name, and get 30% off your stay. It's not a regular hotel, every room is completely unique and as a guest you'll be able to explore the mansion to your heart's content! And maybe you'll find more secret doors than we have.

Question

Where do I park at the venue?

Answer

The only parking available at the venue is valet parking. The venue is in a neighborhood and most parking is for residents. The cost for valet parking is $20 + tax for the event and $38 + tax if you stay overnight. Also, please do not double park at the venue or the bride and groom will be charged a very large fee.

Question

Is the venue metro accessible?

Answer

Yes it is. The nearest metro stop to the venue is the Dupont Circle stop on the Red Line. The station is about a block and a half from the venue.

Question

So what's the deal with the bar? Open or cash?

Answer

This may be the MOST important question, right? There will be an open bar during the reception and on the party bus! We hope those of you enjoying adult beverages will consider overnighting at the venue or nearby. If not, please drink responsibly and have a designated driver.

Question

Once I'm on the party bus, when can I get off?

Answer

While the party bus will be making several stops on our 4 hour adventure, we won't return to the venue until approximately 1:30 AM. If you decide to embark on the roving dance portion of the reception, be prepared to party the night away and bring your best dance moves! There are lots of seats on the party bus so you'll be able to rest whenever you'd like or you can hop off and grab an Uber/Lyft/Taxi if you're too pooped to party.

Question

Did I hear there was going to be swimming after the party bus?

Answer

Yes you did! The venue is also a hotel and for guests of the hotel only, there will be access to a pool after our evening of dancing. If you're a guest of the hotel and think you might want to relax in the pool at the end of the evening, be sure to bring your swimsuit. Also note, the venue/hotel is in a neighborhood so we'll have to keep the noise to a minimum.

Question

I took AMAZING pictures at your wedding, how can I share them with you?

Answer

Well first of all, thank you so much. The more pictures the better. Second, you can upload all your pictures on our Wedpics site (www.wedpics.com). Our ID code is geeklove.
