We had dinner here before we officially moved to the area and have been going back ever since. They have Italian food, unique pizzas and liquor to go with a fun vibe to decompress during your travels.

Located inside the Lackawanna Radisson, this bar has different kinds of food and liquor with cozy seating. We come here often - James recommends the hummus platter!
Backyard Ale House
For late night drinks and bar food, this spot in Scranton is a good option. James recommends the onion rings!
Nay Aug Park
A few minutes from our home, this park is beautiful! There are different walking trails, pavilions, rose garden, treehouse, a gorge and more. Inside the park is the Black Watch Cafe. Across the street is the Everhart Museum.

Boscov's
Dawn's grandma's favorite store has now become her favorite store. Located in a small shopping plaza there are other stores and shops to visit, as well. You can walk around Scranton and park in the mall parking garage.
Throops Soups
Absolutely love this place! Lynn and Eddie are amazing and the food is wonderful. The food is Vegan and packed with flavor, plus they have lattes, smoothies and more. Dawn holds workshops there and sessions at Now and Zen Wellness in the back. Highly Recommend!!!

Stop in here for a relaxing massage and other healing modalities if you need to refresh and relax during your travels. Dawn holds sessions and workshops here - the staff and owners are AMAZING.

Browse here for Repurposed, Handmade and Vintage items. They have all sorts of interesting pieces for sale, and there is a coffee shop across the street.
Pezzi on the Avenue
Recently opened, this vintage, thrift and consignment shop has much to offer. The first time we walked in we walked out with a bureau. Right in the heart of Downtown Scranton.
Pigeon Post Art & Books
Kelsey and Alex who own this art and book shop are really nice. This is a great stop in Downtown Scranton with some really cool finds.

Awesome new and used book shop in Downtown Scranton. Really great space to browse and sit for a while.
Lackawanna Historical Society
Founded in 1886, The Lackawanna Historical Society is one of the oldest cultural institutions in the county. James knows this place quite well from his curatorial endeavors and highly recommends a visit here.
Nibbles & Bits
A must-stop for all things chocolate! Maggie, the owner, is a certified chocolatier. Aside from amazing chocolates, Nibbles and Bits also offers artisan popcorns to flavored pretzels, sweet jams, savory dips, confections, nuts, and more, including pasta from Italy and hot cocoa from Canada. Stop in to say "Hi" to Maggie and her husband, Jason - they are so friendly and kind.
Downtown Deli
We love this deli - the food is really good and Downtown Deli sits near so many other interesting locations in Scranton.
Mansour's Market
James and Dawn LOVE Mansour's - they meet here for lunch dates with each other and friends. An adorable cafe, the food is really good along with the nice atmosphere. James recommends the hummus plate and Dawn is all about the chicken gyro.

If you are curious where James and Dawn grocery shop, this is the place. For traveling guests who need grocery items this store has it all and then some. It's only a short distance away.
