Q. It looks like there are cabins and other indoor sleeping options. Can we stay in one of those? A. We have 4x 2 person mini cabins, and 2 tiny homes available to us. These have been offered to specific guests for specific purposes. Unless you have been notified, please plan to be part of the tent camping crew (which is most of us!) or secure a local hotel/airBnb at your cost. Q. Are we really sleeping outside, in tents? A. Yes! We will provide tents, air mattresses, and bedding for all guests traveling in. If you are driving from Oregon or Washington, you’ll have to bring your own tents, air mattresses, and bedding. All guests should bring their own pillows. If you don’t want to camp in tents, you can drive in your RV (there’s a few hookups) or stay at a nearby hotel/AirBnb. Q. If I’m staying offsite, can I still participate in all the activities? A. Yes! If you’re sleeping offsite, we hope you enjoy long days and evenings onsite with us.
Q. What is the bathroom situation? A. The communal lodge has two full bathrooms available 24/7. There are also 6 porta potties throughout the grounds that will be cleaned prior to our arrival. We'll provide everyone a map so you'll know where they are located. Q. Do the communal lodge bathrooms have showers, sinks, and mirrors? A. Yes. Q. Are toiletries provided? A. Towels are NOT provided. Please bring your own bathing towels! The lodge bathrooms include nature-safe shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. If you decide to bring your own products, please make sure they are non-toxic. The grounds that we will be on are conservation land and keeping the water safe for local wildlife and plants is important. Q. Can everyone use the lodge? A. Yes! It is available to us 24/7. There is a full kitchen (clean up after yourself), two full bathrooms, a bunch of chairs and couches, and a large dinner table. A link to the lodge is on the Welcome page.
Q. What will the weather be like? A. It averages 70 high and 50 low. Its not likely to rain but its possible. A weather forecast a week out should be pretty reliable. Q. Can we go swimming? A. The river water is COLD but bring a suit if you’re daring, or if you want to use the hot tub. Q. What if it rains? A. If it rains, it will probably be for a short time. But if its bad, we’ll be moving the party into the communal lodge. Q. Is there heating? Electricity? A. The lodge has electricity, water, and is temperature controlled. For the very few in cabins, you'll have electric heat or wood stove heat.
Q. How long is the ceremony? A. Not long at all! We’ll be saying our vows in private, so the ceremony will be short. Q. Can I take photos? A. Please, no photos during the ceremony. Photos at the reception and throughout the weekend are fine! We'll have an app available to upload any pictures you take. It'll be a long weekend with a lot to capture. Q. I can only come for the ceremony or reception, is that ok? A. Of course! We’re grateful for any time you can celebrate with us. If you’re just coming for the ceremony and reception, you can plan to be seated around 5pm.
Q.Is there cell service on site? A. Cell service is weak or non-existent on site as well as a couple of miles before you reach the venue. It is extremely important to have your GPS locked in before you lose service. Q. Is there Wi-Fi? A. Yes. We will provide Wi-Fi info here as we get closer.
Q. What meals will be provided? A. We will provide the following meals: Friday- Dinner, Saturday- Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, Sunday- Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. We’ll have some snacks at times (s’mores, etc.), but if you want more to snack on, best to hit a store on your way in. Q. If we’re staying offsite, do we provide our own meals? A. No, we are providing the same meals. But! If you aren’t going to be eating a meal with us on-site, please let us know in advance so we can plan! Q. Can you accommodate dietary restrictions? A. We can accommodate dietary restrictions, but cannot accommodate preferences. Let us know if you require vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free meals.
Q. How accessible is the venue, physically? A. This venue is in a wooded area and only partially accessible to those with mobility issues. If you have any concerns about accessibility, please reach out to us so we can look at options, such as a portable ramp.
Q. Do I need a car rental? Will there be a shuttle from the airport? A. Please plan to either rent a vehicle or schedule your own transportation from the airport. The Travel page provides rental information. As we get closer, if multiple guests arrive around the same time, we may be able to help with shuttling.
