Memorial Day Weekend is the beginning of busy season for Newport. Guests are encouraged to book accommodations presently. Because of possible heavy traffic on the Newport Bridge, it may be preferable to stay in the Newport/Middletown area. Below is a mix of websites for house rentals (economical for large groups), a website with a full variety of discounted hotel rooms (low to high end), and three hotel 'room blocks' (Mainstay in Newport, Howard Johnson in Middletown, Quality Inn in Middletown) for about $200 per night.
Flight
T.F. Green International (PVD) is the closest international airport to Newport RI, with an approximately 30 min drive to downtown Newport. Boston Logan International (BOS) is also an option, with an approximately 1.5 hour drive to downtown Newport.
Hotel
The "Hotel Blocks for Weddings" website lists varying hotels and inns, from low to high price points, with general group discounts. No rooms on this website are "blocked" specifically for the Davis/Faherty wedding.
House Or Rental
HomeAway, VRBO, and AirBnB are great places to search for a house. Newport RI and Middletown RI are both easily accessible to the Church and reception.
