Gulf shores is about an hour drive away from Mobile, AL. There a shops in the area, a public beach, hotels, restaurants, and scenic views. This is a great place to relax with your toes in the sand.
This beach is one of the Bride's favorite beaches and an hour from Mobile! As a local to Mobile, the bride spent much time with her family at the beach. Pensacola Beach has the white sand of Florida with a family atmosphere. Check out Flounder's for great food. This beach features restaurants, shops, hotels, resorts, and a great time.
Dauphin Island brings the beach to Alabama! It is about a 30-40 minute drive from Mobile, AL. It is a smaller island and does not feature as many restaurants on the Island. There is a sea lab that is fun for all ages. Dauphin Island features movies on the beach every summer including, June 12th, 2026 (How to Train a Dragon) and June 13th 2026 (Night at the Museum). Please note there is a East and West End. Movie Night happens on the EAST end.
The wharf is about an hour from Mobile. It features a waterfront area with shops, a marina & restaurants, as well as rides & an amphitheater.
Cedar Point Pier is a 1,700 foot long pier, free-for-this-year and has rod rentals plus a bait shop. It is about a 35 min drive from downtown Mobile.
Biloxi, MS, is a small beach town 45-minutes outside of Mobile that features a beach and a strip of Casinos including the Hard Rock Casino and hotel, and the Beau Rivage (a favorite of the Bride). The casinos are not just all play, but feature spas, hotels and restaurants including a half shell oyster house and the Sugar Factory.
Shop til' you drop at Tanger Outlets in Foley, AL. It is about 50 minutes outside of Mobile. This outlet features Kate Spade, Coach, Michael Kors, the Nike Factory, and so much more.
