We met at Tuskegee University through SGA, crossing paths in meetings and events like it was nothing. But our story actually started before either of us realized it — just in two different ways. For him, it began the day he helped with my women’s conference. He says something about seeing me in my element — organizing, leading, making everything come together — caught his attention. And then we took that completely random polaroid together. It wasn’t planned or special at the time… just a quick picture. But he kept thinking about it afterward. That was the moment he started seeing me differently. For me, it happened during those math games we used to play. I didn’t know he had already been paying attention to me. I just remember the way he laughed, the way he kept the competition fun, and how easy it felt to be around him. And then one day he showed up in that periodic table shirt — nerdy, bold, and adorable in the best way — and suddenly he was impossible not to notice. From there, everything fell into place on its own: the teamwork, the jokes, the late meetings, the quiet moments. SGA put us in the same room, but a women’s conference, a random polaroid, some math games, and one unforgettable shirt brought us together. And that’s how our sweet beginning really happened.
