Our story
Sydney and Davis met in 2019 in Denver while Davis was working in engineering and Sydney was doing an AmeriCorps service year. They only dated for 6 months before Sydney moved to Portland for medical school, but decided they wanted to try and continue the relationship. They long distanced for 2 years during the height of the pandemic while Davis pursued a masters degree to transition from engineering to teaching high school math. After finishing his degree, Davis moved to Portland and they got to enjoy more in-person quality time. On May 4th, 2024, Davis proposed to Sydney after almost 4 and half years of dating over one of Sydney's favorites: a breakfast of homemade scones and tea. They now live in Seattle where Davis continues to be a high school math teacher and Sydney is doing her physician residency at University of Washington in pediatrics.
In their free time, they enjoy hiking, camping, backpacking, and running together! Here are a few photos of their adventures:
