FAQs

Question

What about the Delta-Variant?

Answer

Our fully-vaccinated wedding is still on! So far, studies have shown vaccine efficacy to remain relatively unchanged even against the Delta-Variant, which has largely spread amongst the unvaccinated. However, in light of the increases in COVID-19 cases due to the Delta Variant, if you’re no longer comfortable attending, we completely understand. You can update your RSVP anytime on the RSVP page of this website. Your health, safety, and peace of mind always come first, particularly during times like these! And, as always, we know you will all be with us in spirit on our special day!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

If you ask Lily, she will simply say "don't wear a wedding dress." Since that doesn't give much direction, we'd suggest semi-formal or dressy-casual attire. For the gals, this means something like a nice dress, jumpsuit or separates paired with heels or dressy flats. For the guys, this means something like a suit or slacks with a dress shirt and tie or a jacket/blazer. Above all, we want our guests to be comfortable and have fun!

Question

Are there any COVID restrictions?

Answer

Davis and Lily kindly request that everyone planning to attend the wedding ensure they are fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to the wedding. Not only do we want you to be as safe as possible at our wedding, but this will also help protect the immunocompromised and elderly family and friends who will be in attendance. There are no travel restrictions for the state of Texas. We will keep you updated on any additional COVID-19 restrictions as the date nears.

Question

What if I am still unsure about the safety of traveling and/or large gatherings?

Answer

While we are trying to ensure our wedding is as safe as possible for all who attend, we completely understand that many of our guests may still be uncertain about attending a large gathering. We know the decisions to travel and to gather are individualized, so we will fully respect whatever decision each of our invited guests makes for the safety of themselves and/or their family. We know that you are all with us in spirit!

Question

Where do we park?

Answer

The Stephen F. Austin does valet parking for $44 a night or $25 for the length of the event. Uber and Lyft are also great options for getting around Austin.

Question

Do I have to stay at the Stephen F. Austin?

Answer

Absolutely not! While we do have a block of rooms there at special pricing, there are so many hotels around the area so if you have redeemable points at any major hotel chain, you can probably find that hotel within blocks of the venue. See the "travel" page for more information on the Stephen F. Austin and nearby hotels.

Question

Can I take a video or photos of the ceremony?

Answer

While this has become more popular in recent years, we kindly ask that you refrain from using your phone during the ceremony itself. Our wonderful wedding photographer will be sure to capture this part of our special day! Once we are at cocktail hour, the reception, or the after-party - snap away! and #dilydily2021

Question

Do you have a wedding hashtag?

Answer

We do! It's: #dilydily2021 For those who want to take photos and videos at the reception, using the hashtag is a great way to group everyone's photos together on Facebook and/or Instagram.
