Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Davis Gray and Jaclyn Paluch
Welcome to Austin!

South Congress Street

Lots of fun shopping and restaurants! Grab coffee and a breakfast taco to go at Jo's Coffee, check out Allen's Boots or Prima Dora for some shopping, take a photo at the "I love you so much" mural, listen to live music at Continental Club or Guero's Oak Garden, or watch 1.5 million bats start their nightly flight at sunset on Congress Avenue Bridge.

Outdoor Activities

Rent paddle boards or kayaks at Texas Rowing Center to enjoy a great view of Austin skyline, or take a walk around Lady Bird Lake trail. Relax and cool off at Barton Springs Pool, a natural pool with an average temperature of 68 degrees year round. Take a quick hike at Mount Bonnell for great views of Lake Austin.

Restaurants

Torchy's Tacos (casual, several locations) Suerte (elevated Mexican, East Side-make sure to try the Suadero Tacos) Matt's El Rancho (Jaclyn and Davis's favorite Tex-Mex spot and an Austin classic, does not take reservations) Terry Black's BBQ (some of our favorite brisket in Austin, prepare to wait around lunch time) Licha's Cantina (Mexican food, East Side, reservations recommended) Paperboy (great brunch spot, East Side, reservations recommended) Mattie's (Southern food, beautiful spot for brunch or dinner- this is where Jaclyn and Davis had their engagement photos taken!) Fresa's South First (Casual Mexican food with a large outdoor dining area) The Peacock (Mediterranean food, located in Austin Proper Hotel downtown) Red Ash (elevated Italian, downtown- where Jaclyn and friends celebrated Davis's 25th birthday when they first started dating!)

Austin is known for its many delicious food trucks all over the city. A few favorites include: Veracruz (best breakfast tacos) Patrizi's (homemade pasta) Tommy Want Wingy (Davis's favorite wings) Spicy Boys (Asian fried chicken) Leroy and Lewis Barbecue (sells out early in the day) Valentina's Tex Mex BBQ (a drive but well worth it! Jaclyn and Davis's favorite BBQ in Austin) Cuantos Tacos Rosita's Al Pastor La Tunita 512 (Davis's favorite tacos) Pueblo Viejo

Drinks

Barton Springs Saloon (casual-South Lamar) Gibson Street Bar (right across the street from Jaclyn's first apartment in Austin!) Whistler's (East Side-great cocktails) Broken Spoke (historic Texas dance hall with lots of live country music- South Lamar) Roosevelt Room (incredible cocktail list) ABGB (beer garden with live music on weekends) Lazarus Brewing Co (East Side- great place to wait for a table at Suerte) Meanwhile Brewing Co (several great food truck options here, lots of outdoor space) Central Machine Works (another large beer garden, good food) White Horse Saloon (honky tonk bar with live country music)
