Best Man
Jack is Davis' older brother and Best Man. They have learned a lot from each other over the years, everything from how best to get under the other's skin to how to handle life's most meaningful challenges. Jack, who lives in Massachusetts with his wife Sarah, is surely looking forward to some sun and warmth.
Maid of Honor
A long-time friend and former roommate of the Bride, Lizzy is Haley's Maid of Honor. Lizzy has known both the Bride and Groom for well over a decade, and chose to accept her role in the ceremony despite it! Lizzy is coming from Raleigh, where she lives with her fiance, Nate, two well-dressed cats and their dog, Roscoe.
Groomsman
Tony is a longtime friend of the Groom, he and Davis have been close pals since middle school. Tony has been a loyal and dear friend to both Davis and Haley for many years and they look forward to sharing this important day in their lives with him. Tony will join the Wedding Party from Durham, where he lives with his fiance Erin, and is in the early running for "Most Likely to Have the Best Time."
Bridesmaid
Anna is a longtime friend of the Bride, having made acquaintances with Haley in the early days of 9th grade. The friendship began with Anna's offering of candy, and it has only gotten sweeter since. Anna is joining the Wedding Party from Denver, CO, where she and her dog Gouda are known to cook incredible meals together.
Groomsman
Neil and Davis go all the way back to Forest View Elementary, where they forged a bond of friendship through mutual interest in soccer, Tolkien novels, and finding humor where others might not. While the classroom and soccer fields have faded into history, they still enjoy competing with each other in the Great Outdoors. Neil is joining the Wedding Party from Raleigh, where he and his fiance, Colleen, live down the street from the Bride and Groom with their dog, Marley.
Bridesmaid
Mary Kate is a friend and former roommate of the Bride going back to Riverside High School. She is thought of by those who know her as a kind and supportive friend, and has been one to both Haley and Davis for many years. She joins the Wedding Party from Charlotte, where she continues to demonstrate her caring and nurturing spirit through her practice as a nurse.
Groomsman
Nathan and Davis have known each other since 5th grade at Forest View, where Nathan made a strong impression as a new kid on the soccer field at recess. They became closer friends through middle school, playing both school and club soccer together. Nathan, who is and has always been a dependable and selfless friend, joins the Wedding Party from Durham, where he is an *eligible* bachelor.
Bridesmaid
Lauren is the sister of the Groom and has always been fantastic older sibling. Whether by being protective of her youngest brother through threatening bullies, directing what are assuredly award-quality homemade films, or demonstrating how to make an impact in the areas that are most important to her, Lauren has always been a tremendous role model. Lauren joins the Wedding Parting from Olympia, WA, where she lives with her husband, Kellar, and their dogs Sippy, Lenny and Bernie.
Groomsman
Grant is a longtime buddy of Davis', going back to the days on the soccer field in middle school, where the two we dominant defenders capable of the gangliest of tackles. The two have continued their friendship beyond the pitch of their adolescence, through high school, college and early adulthood. Grant is one of the kindest, most genuine young men around and Davis and Haley are appreciative of his joining them on this important day. Grant joins the group from Durham, NC, where he lives with his wife Pier and their dog Ollie.
Bridesmaid
Gretchen and Haley's friendship goes back to childhoods athletics, where both were fierce competitors on the soccer field. While Gretch may display fierceness in competition, she is a caring, supportive softie with a heart of gold. These are surely the qualities that led to a career in veterinarian medicine. When Davis sustained a head injury in an adult league soccer game, Gretchen swooped into action. One might say that, in her way, she treats her friends like animals. Gretchen is joining the group from Portland, OR, where she lives with her dog Dori.
Groomsman
Nate and Davis became friends in high school and strengthened their friendship as roommates at Appalachian State. They learned to shred both the ski slopes of Boone, NC, and small-to-moderate-size audiences' faces at house parties and hookah lounges as band mates. Nowadays, they "rock" together in a different way, climbing! Nate joins the wedding party from Durham, NC, where he lives with his fiance Sami and their dogs Mathilda and Lola.
Bridesmaid
Sarah is a longtime friend of Haley and Davis, going back to middle and high school. Sarah is one of the most engaging friends that they have, and it doesn't hurt that she tends to have fresh-baked cookies or cake balls in her purse. She will surely be seen chatting with nearly every guest come the wedding weekend, as that's kind of her thing. Sarah is joining the wedding party from Washington, DC, where she breaks down the partisan barriers of that city with a good story and a better doughy confection.
Groomsman
Paul and Davis' friendship goes back to the soccer fields of Durham, where they became friends through club and high school soccer. Their friendship continued through college, first at Appalachian State where they lived together and through Paul's transferring to UNC and into adulthood. Interestingly enough, Paul has been college roommates with nearly half of the groomsmen. Paul joins the wedding party from Durham, NC via New York City and has quickly re-established himself on the triangle's sports scene.
Bridesmaid
Emily and Haley's friendship is a foundational one, going all the back to elementary school. As they've grown over the years, so has their friendship. Whether it be together on trips to visit friends and family, texts and phone calls, or folk music festivals in the mountains of Virginia, Emily's sense of humor brings her friends and family closer. A credit to John and Cindy Legge, to be sure. Emily joins the wedding party from Charlotte, NC where she lives with her dog Blue.
Groomsman
Marty and Davis became good friends when Marty's now-wife, Kate, brought him from the fields of Iowa to Durham, NC. For a time, the two couples were neighbors in the Woodcroft neighborhood, where Marty quickly became one of the guys. Sure to make an, at the very least, decent first impression, Marty joins the wedding party from Durham, where he and the aforementioned Kate live with their dog Banks.
Bridesmaid
Kate and Haley became fast friends as neighbors in Durham's Woodcroft neighborhood, where the two would go for runs and chat over a glass of wine while their respective partners established their friendship. While she and Haley are close friends today, she and Davis' friendship goes all the way back to preschool. Kate likes to entertain and bring people together, but not quite as much as she likes Carolina athletics. She joins the wedding party from Durham, where she lives with her dog Banks and husband Marty.
