Our love of Disney was evident on our first date! Our first date consisted of staying in (COVID), dressing up in our best Beauty and the Beast attire, cooking dinner together, and watching a movie!

Since we started dating right at the start of COVID, we had to take a picture of ourselves with our first masks!

During COVID, we definitely had to do some self-care...FACE MASKS!!

Since we dated through COVID, we had to find something fun to do! So we played with Snapchat filters...A LOT...

When we went long-distance relationship status, Rebecca decided to go visit John in Texas. But first, we had to go to South Padre Island! Here we got a photo op with a lighthouse!

After South Padre, we definitely had to go on a double date with his sister and her boyfriend!

We also had to go to the Corpus Christi Aquarium!

Following our adventure in Texas, the next time we got to see each other was at Rebecca's cousin Lora's Wedding!

We got to spend our first Christmas together! Let's say it is one we won't forget!

Since Corpus Christi does not get the snow that Nebraska does during Christmas time, we had to have a chalk date. It was a lot of fun to see each other's creative side!

We also had to do a Christmas light walk-around neighborhood tour!

To fill out the rest of the Christmas visit, we found an "old school" arcade and spent some time playing pinball and many other games!

While we were together for Christmas, we got to celebrate New Year's together!

For our 1 year anniversary, we were sadly apart, but we did get to video chat and express our love in other ways! (Engagement Photo)

THE PROPOSAL!

Yes, he actually proposed and Rebecca has not stopped showing her ring off!

A few months after the proposal, John Michael's family and friends went to Florida for a birthday weekend, and Rebecca joined. We got to see some great beaches!

After the quick Florida trip, we had to spend a few more months apart. This time for the visit John Michael came to Nebraska to visit. So we had to go to the Henry Doorly Zoo!

While Michael was in Nebraska, Rebecca's brother got engaged. (We may have helped.) So after the proposal, we went on a double date with them!

On the same trip where John Michael was in Nebraska, we got our engagement photos taken. Here are a few that we love!

(Engagement Photo) This photo is really special. Since we have been long-distance for almost our whole relationship. This is the first time that Rebecca was able to receive a flower from John Michael!
