Cost: A small fee applies to visitors 21+. The tour is $5 for Colorado residents and $10 for other visitors, and no charge for active duty or veterans with military ID. All visitors over age 21 may opt for a short tour (samples only) or the full tour experience, and they are all eligible to enjoy three 8 oz. samples and receive a commemorative glass. Personal Items: As we are a manufacturing facility, we prohibit strollers, backpacks, bags, and purses on the tour. Guided Bus Tour Prices: $11/adult (12+); $8/youth (3-11) includes a 45-minute guided bus tour on Dinosaur Ridge and admission to Trek Through Time, our indoor exhibit hall. Children ages 2 and under are always free at Dinosaur Ridge. PLEASE NOTE: Tickets can be purchased in our Main Gift Shop. Be sure to make the Gift Shop your first stop when you arrive. Hop on/Hop off Shuttle: $6/adult (12+); $4/youth (3-11), includes access to our exhibit hall. The Hop on/Hop off Shuttle tickets can be purchased online and in the Main Gift Shop. The Shuttle does a continuous loop from the Main Visitor Center up and around Dinosaur Ridge Trail and back. The Hop on / Hop Off Shuttle is available seasonally. Please contact our gift store (303-697-3466) for availability. Walking is also an option, but please note if you are walking, our tour buses cannot pick you up. Be prepared for 3 miles round-trip with an uphill climb for half of your journey.
About a 1.5 hour drive from Golden. Rocky Mountain National Park is a must see! Rocky Mountain is located in Estes Park, which is cute small mountain town with a downtown full of gift shops and restaurants. Rocky Mountain has over 300 miles of hiking trails. If hiking isn't you thing, don't worry you can drive around the park! Breath taking views! You are almost guaranteed to see animals like Elk, Moose, Bighorn Sheep, Deer, and Black Bears. David and I have seen all these animals besides the Black Bear. Fee: $25 for a 1 day pass *Make sure your car has a full tank of gas, and be prepared to drive along some steep cliffs.
