Any time you go above 8,000 feet, you can be at risk for altitude sickness. The venue is at 8,294 feet, so altitude sickness may occur. Anyone can develop altitude sickness, no matter how fit, young, or healthy they are. The best way to prevent altitude sickness is by staying well hydrated!! Higher altitude locations typically have much less moisture in the air—and alcohol is a dehydrating diuretic—so you have to drink more than just the "one glass of water for every drink" you'd normally strive for at sea level.Â
