Our story started as prom dates - although we didn't know each other until two weeks before the dance. Our Maid of Honor, Molly, is childhood best friends with Tedi and knew David by playing pond hockey together. With the help of others, she connected the dots and introduced us. We quickly had a crush on each other but started as friends, getting to know each other over the next few months at bonfires and bonding over going to the University of Minnesota in the fall. About a month into the summer, David asked Tedi out on a date to Snuffy's Malt Shop. It must've gone well, because Tedi asked for a second date the very next day, and we've kept it going ever since.

For Tedi's 26th birthday, David bought her tickets to Aladdin the Musical in Chicago for later that month - Jasmine was always Tedi's favorite Disney princess so her excitement was off the charts, while David was happy that he had a built-in reason to ask her to get dressed up. We met after work on May 24, 2023 along the Chicago Riverwalk and headed toward the restaurant, or so Tedi thought. Instead, David steered her toward River Point Park, a spot where the two branches of the Chicago River meet that offers an amazing view of our adopted home city where David had a photographer waiting. Enthralled by the view, Tedi only noticed what was happening when David stopped in front of her and began his speech. After a resounding yes, we took photos and enjoyed the moment before heading to dinner and the show. To add to the celebrations, David surprised Tedi by inviting both sets of parents to town to help celebrate.

We couldn't be more excited to celebrate our relationship with the people who have helped to shape us into who we are and support us every step of the way.
