Lake Guntersville State Park
The Guntersville State Park offers several good hiking trails, a small "beach" and the Eagle's Nest Golf Course. In addition, there are cabins for rent.
Tasty Donuts Guntersville
The best donuts around homemade by a Cambodian family. Legend has it that Walker Brown walked four miles in the rain for a box of these. Don't forget the cinnamon twist, a favorite of bridesmaid Carsyn Queen.
Moody Brews Coffee & Lounge
The favorite local coffee shop hang out spot where Charlie Knott can often be spotted in a flow state.
Fire By The Lake
This casual sports bar on the water with a super chill vibe is one of our favorites.
Big Mike’s Steakhouse Guntersville
At the City Harbor, this steakhouse offers good food and nice views.
Hydrant City Grill
This brewery and restaurant has the best burgers in town and is named after Albertville, the fire hydrant capital of the world. Austin enthusiastically recommends the Elvis burger, with peanut butter and pepper jelly, but the Hydrant City Burger and the Bleu Cheese Burger are also faves.
Papa Dubi's
For the best Cajun around, try Papa Dubi's, started by a Cajun family displaced during Hurricane Katrina. They came here, stayed and opened this popular restaurant.
Cathedral Caverns State Park
Large, impressive cave about 30 minutes from Guntersville. Make reservations in advance to take the tour.
Tigers For Tomorrow Wild Animal Preserve
The Tiger King ain't got nothin' on us! We have our own wild animal preserve right here with more than 160 animals like lions, tigers and bears on 140 acres in North Alabama.
Unclaimed Baggage
Ever wondered what happens to your luggage when it gets lost for good? It ends up in Scottsboro, about 40 minutes from Guntersville, at Unclaimed Baggage. This huge store is fun to peruse for good deals and unusual finds.

Difficult golf course that favors the brave. Short, yet filled with hazards. Bring lots of balls. Charlie got a hole in one here.

Outdoor bar area with live music and beautiful views, at the City Harbor.

This is a great little cafe right downtown where you can stop in for a yummy lunch while shopping at the boutiques.
Rock House Eatery
This flagship restaurant is one of the best in town with indoor and outdoor seating and delicious food.
Lifepoint Church
Lifepoint is where Sydney's family goes on Sundays. They have services at 9:00 and 11:00. If you're looking for a loving, laid-back church that exalts Jesus, teaches the Bible clearly, and plays some of the best music you'll hear anywhere, check out Lifepoint on Sunday morning. And the largest Celebrate Recovery in Alabama meets there at 6:00 Sunday nights. Go and have your world rocked. You won't regret it. Trust us.
