How We Met

It started with a blog post

In early 2015, a mutual friend of me and Nicole had re-posted a picture of Nicole on Tumblr, and I thought she was cute so I followed her. A few months later - Nicole posted to Tumblr that she went to go see a movie. I decided to finally reach out and ask how the movie was. After just a few conversations, it was shocking how two people who are so very different (myself being sports-loving workaholic extrovert, and Nicole being a shy, creative introvert and couldn't name 3 athletes) could have so much in common. We decided to meet at Amoeba music in Hollywood due to our mutual musical interest. Nicole truly thought I was a catfish, but nope I was real. We hit it off right away, instantly talking about anything and everything, walking around looking at records. When it came time to leave, we kissed, and we both argue about which simp initiated it (Nicole initiated it). Fast forward to what has now been seven incredible years where we've essentially learned how to be adults together. Seven years where we've pushed and supported each other. 2 college degrees, 3 dogs, starting a business, a dream job in sports, a house, ups and downs but above all else have love and patience for each other. Months after our first date, I would find out that she was actually on a date when she saw the movie. Had the date gone...10% better, Nicole may have posted about the date, and I would have never started talking to her.

The Day He Proposed

It was like any other Wednesday..

(Backstory: I accidentally found the ring box months prior while looking for something else. So he knew that I knew about the ring). Just two days after our anniversary, I started the day feeling like absolute crap. I didn't want to go anywhere or do anything, BUT I had a shoot, ironically, a proposal. David came with me (as he always does) and helped me hide in the bushes while I waited for my couple. I finished my shoot and we went home. I was laying on his lap while we watched The Office when he asked if I wanted to see the ring. Thinking that he was just going to give me a sneak peek at the ring, he actually proposed right then and there. I have only seen David cry two or three times in our 6 years of dating. This was one of those times. And that is how an ordinary Wednesday turned extraordinary.
