Semi-formal attire is requested. This includes suits/sports jackets, button-up shirts, khaki pants, cocktail dresses and maxi dresses, or dress shirts and pants.
As North Carolina weather is slightly unpredictable, it could either be relatively cold, or generally comfortable. We would suggest bringing layered wardrobe options and choosing outfits day by day.
Both the ceremony and the reception will be held at the same location: The Gingerbread Meeting House in Shelby, NC.
Both! The ceremony will be held outdoors under the pavilion. The reception will have indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating and dancing will be held outdoors under the pavilion as well. There will be no walking through grass or fields to get to the ceremony or reception either, so you should feel free to wear whichever shoes you'd like!
After the ceremony has finished, the bride and groom and the wedding parties will be taking pictures nearby for about an hour. Guests are welcome to head inside the bar area where hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be available. We encourage all the guests to mingle and get to know each other!
Not really. We do request that you do not wear white, or fully green, if at all possible. Feel free to wear green accents!
You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as you can, and please RSVP "no," so we can plan accordingly.
We recommend that you arrive at the venue an hour before the start of the ceremony to ensure everyone is on time and we can start on schedule!
Parking is free! There is parking on-site at the venue.
Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list in order to stay on budget. We can only accommodate guests that are specifically named on the invitation.
We have two different hotel blocks for guests to utilize! Please see the "Travel" page of our website for more information. https://www.zola.com/wedding/davidandkiera2023/travel
We request that all of the RSVPs are back to us by February 1st, 2023. You have the option to mail in the RSVPs or you can RSVP on our website via the RSVP page.

As the venue is providing the bulk of the decorations please do not take anything home with you, other than the wedding favors provided.
Please note that our ceremony will be tech-free. Please allow the hired photographer to do her job, and turn off your cell phones, cameras, tablets, etc. and enjoy the ceremony. We do encourage you to take photos during the reception and request that you use the hashtag #NewestLewis in your posts so we can keep track of all your pictures!
